I respect that Alabama has a nice campus and all, but I hope everyone in here sucking Bama’s cock like a bunch of Aggies never complains about NIL or the way that LSU is lacking in facilities. Y’all choosing to send your kids to our rivals only puts us behind.

Parts of their campus look Rice University type nice (and that is one of the most amazing campuses I've ever seen). Anyone who disagrees that Bama's campus spins circles around LSU's just doesn't know what they're talking about.
I'm an Alabama legacy who went to LSU and I thought/think LSU's campus is nicer. Bama's buildings are better maintained and their Greek houses are vastly superior to our's, but LSU's architecture and the live oaks trump anything you'll see in Tuscaloosa.
In terms of the atmosphere, ho-hum definitely is an accurate description. It gets loud, but never crazy or intimidating to me like it can at Tiger Stadium, the Swamp or Jordan Hare. They love their pom-poms too.

Does LSU still have a soul? you've seen what mid 3rd QTR attendance looks like...? It's upsetting to me...
Tide fans do not leave early...but we know Alabama fans do not love their school more than LSU fans do, so what is it?
I think it has to do with the fact TS doesn't have after game fun available other than a return trip to the parking lot...where people have to make their own food and fun...it can be a long day...
Bars and restaurants near TS... are lacking IMHO....

I'll give you this, Memorial Tower is probably one of the most impressive university clock/bell towers, especially with the recent renovation. And the Italian renaissance style architecture is a nice contrast to the typical *insert typical red brick Georgian/Federal style building* you see at Bama and so many other universities. But their campus is just more cohesive, cleaner, well landscaped and maintained than LSU's.
That said, I'll take Tiger Stadium over BDS any day

Very nice stadium but the last time I went it smelled of corndogs the strongest......seriously

Two games this year in Tiger stadium feels extremely cluttered on the sidelines, tons of people on sidelines, Ads everywhere and the DJ takes away from the crowd and sounds like shite anyway.
BDS is the saltine cracker of SEC stadiums but LSU is losing its ability to say shite.

It's a beautiful stadium and very symmetric. It's a great environment. I came away thinking it's no surprise that they win so often there.
I haven't seen an Alabama LSU game in Tuscaloosa on TV since 2015 because I went in '17, '19, '21, and now again in '23.

APEX you know the rules and high expectations for pics. LOL

It's loud and they have a funny end of the game scoreboard practice. When they win, the score stays up there.
When they lose, I.E. 2019, as soon as the clock strikes 0:00 the scoreboards go off. They are blank. Friend of mine was there and watched it happen.

quote:Oh, I'm aware TS is a dump in terms of stadium quality.
Obviously Nothing is better than Tiger Stadium, but when you’re talking about overall quality we’re behind in plenty categories. As hard as that is to accept, it’s a fact.
My point was I don't think many stadiums in the SEC (unless you're in a stadium club type seat) are what I would call nice. When I think "nice stadium", I think Jerry World or Atlanta's new stadium.
No doubt our ads and sound system suck. Just hard for me to accept that large structures with exposed concrete differentiate greatly from the rest. I haven't been to Alabama since 2019, but I wasn't wow'd personally. It was a tad bit nicer, but it didn't blow me away or anything. To be fair I was in the lower bowl in the visitors corner and that may be an area that isn't kept up as well. I will say I thought Texas was noticeably nicer.
One thing LSU has focussed on in all sports is prioritizing player facilities over fan facilities. New hitting/pitching facilities and a weight room in baseball, upgraded locker rooms in basketball, the new gymnastics practice facility, and football ops. Those are all at the top of the mountain in college athletics. I like that approach, and as long at it leads to winning (which it has), it will lead to more money for an improved fan experience. I think we're starting to enter that phase, especially with recently released renders for both Tiger Stadium and Alex Box.

Well, since my daughter is a cheerleader for the Tide, I can tell you a lot about Alabama...
You should be ashamed for letting your daughter go to that God forsaken place!
I know I know, they throw money at students to go there. My youngest son had 4 close friends from CHS go to Bama because they had full rides, BUT NO SON OF MINE WOULD EVER CONSIDER GOING TO BAMA.

Yes, they do. This doesn't just happen at LSU. I was there in 2019 when we went up big before halftime, and a fairly sizable number of Gumps headed for the exits. They also frequently leave early when Bama is beating up on an outmanned opponent.

Does LSU still have a soul?
Yes, but I do agree that it's not what it once was. Far more people now attend games as a social exercise rather than having any real interest in what's happening on the field. Again, that's not just an LSU problem.
Traffic and horrible concessions don't help the situation, neither does the fact that games sometimes last up to four hours due to dozens of commercials (a 2:30 CBS game is an exercise in agony).

I definitely agree with you here. Other than The Chimes, there's not much available within walking distance. It's not like UGA, where their campus is adjacent to downtown Athens with lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
Scott Woodward has done a lot of good things since taking over as AD, but he really needs to do something to improve the overall gameday experience for fans, and I don't mean adding lame emcees and DJs.

The stadium is pretty nice but it’s not really loud.

I have been many times living in bama. It is no slouch but far from Tiger Stadium. Probably 4th best behind:
LSU
AUBURN
FLORIDA
BAMA

BAMA

Stadium actually is kinda nice, but not like LSU Auburn Florida loud. The lights at the top make me think of the Death Star for some reason lol.
The video boards are pretty good, and the stadium doesn't look like the yellow pages. Definitely in the Top 3rd as far as nicest SEC venues. It's been my 3rd favorite trip behind Georgia and Auburn so far to places I've been to.

It’s like a major college football stadium wrapped itself in Oversized Egos wrapped in Houndstooth. The Bama Fans we would run into acted as though college football didn’t exist outside of Tuscaloosa.

2nd favorite one to visit in the conference behind Jordan Hare. When Dixieland Delight plays it’s pretty cool. The strip by the stadium is second to none and I envy it.
