went to buy candy this morning
Ah, the date of Halloween was only revealed this AM. Congratulations. Pro tip, send her to the store tomorrow to buy candy for next year. Then, you'll be prepared.
I only buy candy to hand out that I'd never want to eat. Bags of whatever non chocolate stuff they have at Sam's. I may have been more generous before I started figuring out kids from neighborhoods miles away were trekking in to take advantage.

Who cares? It's a holiday about kids going door-to-door for candy. Just give it out to whomever.

I've had kids driven to my neighborhood - I;m not doing that. The other little shits that live around me - I have no interest.

To me, it's about my kids, with their friends, having a fun night. It's not about me giving candy to kids that don't even go to my kids school.
The trick or treaters from other neighborhoods outnumber local (live within a 2 miles) kids 70-30-ish. It's not just a handful.

The GF got a 60 pack of assorted, but got the one with Twizzlers because it had gummy bears. I told her it was going to be majority twiz because they suck. Low and behold, we got an extra piece in the bunch:
Needless to say, all of the Twizzlers are now on top of the bowl

I will not be handing out cola and root beer flavored Bottle Caps nor coconut Long Boys. Those I will eat myself.

I only see 45.9% of that candy being handed out.

Any and all. Last year "trick or treaters" literally walked by our house even though the light was on. I also watched them pass others, if the people weren't sitting outside in the drive way they didn't bother. Good riddance. Lazy arse generations.

Name a type of candy. I will not be handing out that candy tonight.
Yep, after tonight, there should be some bigly reduced prices on holloween candy left overs at the WalMarks!!! Unbelievable jacked up prices on a lot of that stuff!

No candy tonight. Handing out Vidalia onions and cans of whole kernel corn. If we run out I have 10 gallons of high fructose corn syrup we will be spraying directly into children’s mouths.

Are you a man? Are you eating PEANUT BUTTER CUPS? What are you, gay,?
Just kidding. If inhaling peanut butter cups makes me gay, then call Jeff Gordon.

An hour and a half in, and I only have had three trick or treaters.
The next few will get more Dum Dums than they would ever have imagined.

Last year in our neighborhood we had way too many uncostumed trick-or-treaters so we aren't doing a damn thing this year. Parents driving their kids in thinking just because it's Halloween kids get free candy. Nope, the fun is in the costumes.
Lights off, as they are at pretty much every other house on the block save 2 or 3.

I've kept the Gummi lifesavers and sweet tart ropes.

Kids today have it made when it comes to trick or treating. I took my kid out and 90% of it was good stuff. Seven big treat bags and five full size candy bars. And not a single smartie or black and orange peanut butter candy. Very few tootsie rolls. He got a better haul in an hour going through our neighborhood than I ever did hoofing it for hours.

Made me LOL twice. Apparently it's a thing to give kids potatoes now. I don't know why.
Can you spray hot sauce into their mouths instead?

Fentanyl only for the children
