This doesn't mean anything; it's an incomplete sentence. What were you trying to say?

They might even be amazed by the composition of this sentence.

You would do well to get out more often. Come to think of it, remain inside

This kid in my extended-family is home school’d. He wears a fedora everywhere he goes — he’s 20. Enough said

It's too bad he doesn't have a new iberia haircut and wear a hoodie everywhere like a normal person.

Feeling kind of mostly peaceful so I just came here to state the obvious:

HOMESCHOOL LIVES MATTER

How many public school kids in Baltimore have you met?

Did they seem really well adjusted?

but instead home schooling with part time catholic school as an add on.

Homeschooling should ONLY be implemented under an umbrella program with tutorial service as a supplement.

Compared to the sky-screamers that our indoctrination camps produce, the home-schooled kids are awesome.

But sheltering them from mean people (run of the mill bullying, not extreme) the right way to go about it? Or is it to teach them how to handle mean people? I meet adult bullies in the professional world all the time.

I agree with this and have used cases such as these as teaching tools for my kids. They'll have to deal with mean people their entire lives and need to learn how to do so. It's extreme now though. I had three students commit suicide after being extremely bullied. The worst part about it is that I never even realized it was going on and I consider myself pretty involved in picking up on those things. I've had students arrested after witnessing extreme cases of bullying (physical attacks). That coupled with the indoctrination just makes it not worth the risk that comes with it. Our kids are still involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. My son is in band, piano, and involved in the church group. My daughter is in dance, piano, the church group, and vocals. I do little handy man jobs on the side and I always bring my son with me so he's learning some good skills there too. If we want to take a mid-week trip, we just get up and go. And for those saying there isn't indoctrination in the schools around them, you have no idea. It's built into the curriculum and they're tested on it. It's in the literature they read and the history they teach.

Well, I know there are a couple hundred thousand members but I would say out of those couple of 100k members, only about 5, maybe 10% are active members (meaning posting every single day)

Update:

Yup, I was right. Actually 275k members

Only 850 active are currently on the website -- LINK

Maybe that was the case.

I completely see it the other way now.

There is a better option than either public school or home schooling...Classical Private Schools.

The Classical Christian School where my wife (no pics) teaches includes:

Latin starting in 3rd grade through 9th grade
Greek starting in 10th grade through graduation
Logic and Rhetoric
Omnibus History
Traditional Math up to Calculus
Science up to Chemistry and Physics

Association of Classical and Christian School students score significantly higher on the SAT and ACT than the National Averages.

not really. This site is filled with a bunch of $30k millionaires. If Tebow is worth $75 Million dollars then it would be about what Tebow is worth because there are a lot on here that don't make near $30k

Let's say his net worth is 100 million(i doubt its anywhere close to that). You honestly think all of the posters together have less than that?

75 million when he only made 10 million in the nfl as total salary before its hatcheted by everyone is quite the stretch
