Pass rush thoughts

Obviously Cam Jordan isn’t getting the sacks this year, but Granderson is having a very good year.
We are 27th in the nfl in sacks/game, but it seems like we do get pretty good pressure on QBs, just not getting home. I looked for total pressures per team but couldn’t find the stat to try to verify my observation from watching the games. I do think we might should slide Cam inside with Breese on pass rush downs and let Foskey come off the edge.
It doesn’t seem like this has become a big issue yet, but it certainly could soon.

Said before the year they needed to add another vet at end.

I'm not sure about his conditioning but later in the game when Breese comes in he is double teams on every play or just about every play. IMO the push in the middle has a lot to do with how much pressure off the edge we are gutting.
I think as the season goes along it's going to be hard to keep Breese out of the starting line up.
Granderson is balling out and it was nice to see Foskey get in there last week even though they called his strip sack an incomplete pass (Rightfully so).
With Turner likely done in a saints uniform yes we need another edge and they can have Cam come off the bench next season to keep his legs fresh. Father time is undefeated unfortunately.

"NIKO LALOS"
I am pretty sure that was the best quarter of preseason defensive play I've ever seen.

Is turner out for the year?
I would assume with the surgery on the toe.
He was on limited IR after the opening game (Out 4 games) but ended up having surgery that week so I'm not sure the timeline on recovery but at this point I think they've seen what they're going to see out of him.
ETA: this was the same surgery Penning had last year and he came back a played a few games so maybe he can.

Wow, their D is stacked. I still think they've got issues at qb, but when their healthy, they only need lateral passes

Doubtful. He still has a year left under his rookie contract. Why would we cut him? Makes zero sense.
I made a thread about it weeks ago. But we really should have traded for Randy Gregory. He cost almost nothing, a flip of 6 and 7 rounders. And Denver ate most of his salary. He’s a different body type than our other ends. Dallas used him exclusively as a passing down edge rusher and he excelled. Exactly what we need. Misseed opportunity by this front office.
