Watching the Warriors vs Rockets

Since we are playing the Warriors tomorrow, I'm watching them take on the Rockets tonight.
My observations so far:
- The old Warriors core of Steph/Klay/Draymond is not what it once was. It's still very, very good, of course, but no longer an unstoppable force.
- That said, the Warriors look very deep. Kuminga looks like he's going to make a run at MIP. With Wiggins, CP3, Gary Payton Jr., Dario Saric, etc., the Warriors aren't only dependent on their big 3.
The Warriors are up 10 at the half. I hope that the Rockets can keep it close so that starters have to play late in the 4th.

I hope Zion hurts Draymond's feelings tomorrow.
He acted like a complete bitch last year and I hope the boys didn't forget either

Something tells me they won’t play the whole game and may just play spot minutes to satisfy the leagues rest rule along with adding to the 65 game minimum for PS awards.

It's a 3-point game with less than 5 minutes left in the 3rd. Curry is just over 23 minutes so far.

Side note: a pathetic crowd in Houston. They have an exciting young team, and their arena is significantly less than half full.

Looks like GS will get through this game with no player going over 30 minutes tonight.

Steph will go over if he plays the rest of the game. Houston was up 1, and then Steph just made three straight 3s to put GS up 8.

Steph played 31 everyone else under 30.
They are allegedly all playing.
I HATE home games versus the Warriors. Just as bad if not worse than Lakers games.

How does cam Whitmore look? Is passing on Whitmore to take Hawkins still the pelicans’ Waterloo?

Yep. We’ll have to take out the trash tomorrow night. I was in the SKC Saturday and was pretty disappointed in the turnout. It’s sad we seemingly need a strong opposing team turnout to be full.

Bit early to make that call. I’m sure we are all glad that Hawkins has showed a positive pulse so far after playing bad in SL and the Preseason.

SL was a clusterfrick of a time to get a judgement on anyone really. It looked like the strategy was go play ball, and that doesn't benefit a guy like Hawkins who isn't going to be the pg and won't get many great looks like in a real game.
In preseason he did not look bad, but also wasn't good. But again, with the starters playing only parts of the first half for the most part, it wasn't a good indicator of how he would play on the actual games, especially playing with more end of the bench players (much like SL).
Now that he is playing within the actual flow of how we play the games, you can see what he brings to the table and they can use him properly.
Over time he will get to show more of his offensive game (and it will develop more), but for now this is a good start. Same with his defense, on ball and guarding his man he was actually really good at in college. His team defense needs work and you can already see I coming along from how it was in SL and preseason.

It will be a tough game for the Pels.
They are surprisingly deep, imo.
Then there’s Steph, of course.
and that thug whose name I will not speak.

I’ll laugh if Draymond elbows Val and Val coldcocks him.
