OL rotation.

BK is creating that right now. Dude is elite. National titles are on the horizon.

We need 5 Stars at three positions to win a championship-

OL
DL
QB* QB doesn't have to be a 5 star if he's got "it"

But OL and DL have to be talented and deep if you ever want to win anything in college football.

Uh, we need some players on defense. Compare our defense this season to what we had in the Miles’ era. The difference is shocking.

Some players on D sure. The bottom line is your D can be mid in todays game and win the ship.

true, but if we evaluate well in LA, we can consistently find 3 and 4 star CB’s, WR’s, LB’s, RB’s that are future NFL caliber.

Miles was given a 5-star program.

Kelly was given a crap platter.

There is no comparison as of now.

Just getting 5 stars isn’t enough. You must develop them

The LSU program won two titles since Miles took over, and had the most NFL players for nearly that entire time.millions in facility upgrades. The Brand is simply worth a whole lot more than when Miles took over.

and had stud RBs running behind them

but those Bama defenses had enough freak DL and LBs that always made clutch plays when needed.

I agree that top notch OL is a big reason but they have had 6 5 stars the past couple of seasons too and their OL isn't nearly as good as it was.

It was a combo of the talent and the coaching and I believe we have that combo now.

I'm gonna invent a machine that can look at a QB prospect and assess whether or not they have "it" and I'm gonna be a billionaire.

Just thinking out loud here but what if my machine discovers that the most likely QBs to have "it" are 5'6 and below and we just never realized it because we never gave them a chance?

Balony. He has had 5 stars at every position. Most years, his defense has been dominant.

We just got our first 5 star of this class and now we are turning into Bama?

Bama is also suffering because of NIL, they were always able to get the big time recruits whenever they wanted them based off prestige, coaching and of course Dodge Chargers with a small bag of money in the glove compartment. Now everyone can do this and Saban is seeing his empire crumble.
Now having said that a lot of these and their parents included are more worried about the bag than they are about getting developed for the future unfortunately

Now we just need the refs Bama had who ignored the blatant holding form the 6 fricking five starts.

Compare Bamas current D to Bama’s D during the Miles era. They’re also giving up way more points. It’s a totally different game than it was 10-15 years ago.

Bama had 5 stars on 3rd string probably. They were so stacked. Honestly, every year they didn't win the NC was a complete failure imo.
