Something I didn't expect: Bud Light official beer of UFC

The entire controversy was contrived.
Just yesterday, I had a friend state “I understand why people are upset because they were trying to push something on people they object to”.
Bud Light didn’t go out and sign a transgender person to be their national spokesman for a large marketing campaign. They sent one can of beer to some random tic-tocker, who I assume that people had to already know about and follow.
Now, I understand that later on, the AB folks caught between a rock and a hard place then made some more definitive statements.

Yes, the tranny sponsorship or endorsement deal wasn’t some big time multimillion deal. Instead it was a cheap woke token scenario.
The issue / controversy took off after Bud was called out out on the nonsense. The company’s response to the controversy was spineless and didn’t a position on either side.
Then gasoline was poured on the controversial when a podcast was unearthed with the VP of marketing, who was responsible for the tranny promotion, shitting all over the “typical and traditional” bud light consumer.
Marketing 101: don’t spit on your consumer base and always wholeheartedly apologize if your consumers think or believe you disrespected them in anyway.

Im a big ufc fan and anti-woke for sure. I really dont care. Ufc already is on espn….. eventually they will frick the ufc up but I think as long as dana is in there it will be good. Ufc needs the money the new owners spent a fortune on buying it.
