The more I read about Mike Johnson, the more I like him.
On September 29th he said:
"We're not doing [Continuing Resolutions] anymore. We're doing instead a messy process of doing 12 separate small spending bills that are single subject. It takes more time. It's a messier process. But in the end, I think it'll be good for the American people cause we're trying to curtail spending and the growth of government.”
This was way before the Speaker’s race so he’s not just talking stuff to get elected.
Plus, he’s a Constitutional Attorney.

There is such a large bag of hateful posters and post on all this. I assume they are at the beach with Ol Joe today.

The amount of republican posters losing their minds over removing McCarthy is a barometer for the efficacy of propaganda.
Not a good sign imo.
They truly believed chaos would ensue.

They just don’t know how to win.
It’s like the guy who sits at the bar looking at the hot girl but never works up the courage to buy her a drink then goes home and complains about how unfair life is.
You have to try.

Belief in the federal government afflicts both the Right and Left. Just look at Covid response, which to this day is defended by a clear majority of Republicans.

You should.
We need to snap them out of it. Its creepy how much of a hold MSM has on their minds.

If you watch the posted Matt interview ( hope you do) he really breaks it all down and shows you it really wasn't that many just some powerful politicians with powerful backers.

No, they believed that only the GOPe should have control and that any attempt to put a more conservative choice in would result in Jeffries getting it as a “frick you.”
I don’t know what McCarthy did that got exposed last night but EVERYONE got in line on this one.
Posted on 10/25/23 at 1:02 pm to GumboPot
No it wasn't. This is a good result, but it was not the plan.

I think we can all agree the outcome looks good...but if Johnson was "The Plan" then why wasn't he in line right off the bat?
We went though multiple options before his name even came up.
If someone can point to where this was the plan all along, fine...but it looks like a happy coincidence until then.
Either way, he's a shite ton better than McCarthy so why try and make a fight here?

Yeah, this sounds a lot like predicting the score of the football game in the 4th quarter with a minute left.
The outcome is awesome and good for America.

The plan resembles the old Ali tactic. Rope a dope! It worked.

Agree
The world doesnt collapse with no speaker
In fact its probably better

No, the fact that it worked out with an acceptable Speaker does not mean that it was the plan all along.
It wasn’t.
It wasn’t.

Exactly. Now we have to wait and see what he does with his Speakership.
