I would guess Kelly is still riled some about the no call hit on his Heisman candidate QB Jayden Daniels in the end zone. A clear personal foul with the official looking right at the play and it was a hard hit. Probably won’t be his only conversation with them. This SEC group desperately needs counseling by coaches before the games are played.

I think you should go talk to them. You claim to have to correct engineers, so why not share your wisdom with the officials?

An old L.Miles story re SEC refs, speaking at a TAF luncheon: "Coming from the Big 12, I spoke to the League office twice a year, pre season about any new rules, post season evaluating the refs. Here at LSU I am speaking to the League office weekly, and not over ticky tack calls, I'm talking about several flat out blown calls / non calls. " This is not a new problem.

I think a discussion in advance could be a good thing to do....it depends on a lot of factors though and could help or hurt depending on circumstances

I believe Bama only had one 5 yard penalty last week with Tennessee. Just watching the highlights of the game there were several holding calls “missed” by Bama lineman…the home cooking was strong and I fully expect it to be again…

It’s Bama! You have to beat Saban, the fans, the officials, and finally the guys you face up against. Some will say that happens every time you play an away game, but anyone who thinks that Bama, who plays extremely aggressive/physical would commit only one penalty of 5 yards in a 60 minute game is simply being terribly naïve.

Hope he delivers a check larger than Bama’s because it’s going to take that to have a chance. All of five penalty yards against Bama Saturday…
