They were very lucky last winter that they didn't see major shortages and actually freeze in their homes in some areas. It ended up being a very mild winter and the oil and gas industry moved mountains to make sure they had supply.

I remember a lot of Hess stations in NJ and near NYC.
It was unforgettable that during the 1970's oil shortage and huge service station lines, they announced the release of millions of gallons of gasoline in the northeast on a Friday and magically all stations were open on Monday.

Ships carry product from the St. Croix refinery. The St. Croix refinery was built there due taxes and they actually could take supertankers at the refinery itself unlike anywhere else in Mainland USA.

They were being talked about as a big target for someone to acquire back in 2015/16.

There’s also potentially Matador and Civitas out there. EOG, maybe?

Civitas is looking to acquire. For companies focusing on the Permian, Matador and Permian Resources are prime targets along with Diamondback.

Taprock was full of morons, (at least the key decision makers) so that was probably a good thing.

Hess CEO and couple top executives and probably IR are based in NYC. Rest is in Houston, in offices near Discovery Green.

These consolidations are brutal for us software groups. And just like that, some of our biggest customers are gone with the wind.

If they come for your company just drag up. They do pay well at the technician level, so there's that. But fixing things aren't a priority. It's all safety paperwork.
