Maybe they need to explode on each other to explode on the field

I think olave thought "mission accomplished" in that he could tell the safety was cleared enough for Taysom to be fairly open. Maybe Olave was also loafing it a bit in anticipation of blocking downfield for Taysom.
I sense that his frustration and bad body language after the play was based on the fact that he immediately know that unplanned throw by Carr was going to mean that casual fans were going to blame him for not running hard on a route that wasn't even an option, which is exactly what happened. The "I hate Chris Olave" thread after the game was upvoted like 70 to 0 (I upvoted it myself).
Then to have Carr berating you in a primetime game for something that the entire offense knows is clearly Carrs fault (and after he threw a pick 6) is just a bridge too far for a swaggy young brother like CO12.

Legit possibility

Eeeehhhhhhhhhhh, not sure I’d call it that

The problem is Olave has loafed on many routes this year.

So olave's job is to clear out the safety for the first player in the progression, but he loafed and didn't do that? I don't see how this fact pattern clears him
Right. I don’t think there is a single situation in a NFL football game that half assing a play is the right move. Especially when you are running a route on a pass play.

Weirdest part is 7 was open - get him the ball Derek.

He’s tired of Olave getting flak for Carr making mistakes and not reading through his progessions. Regardless, this is a bad look and he shouldn’t have tweeted that
Gonna disagree here... Now is the time to hold people accountable. Carr certainly tried to.

I think MT13 is trying to hold Carr responsible for this. Which I agree with him on. Holding people responsible means also holding the QB not making the right read responsible as well. Carr is deflecting blame more than holding people responsible. When you have your issues as Carr does hard to point your fingers to others and be like its their fault.

If you watch the JT O'Sullivan QB School of this game he does a good job of explaining the utter hypocrisy of Carr being mad at Olave on this play.
Carr himself deserves a 1/10 on this play bc he did like 4 things wrong. Olave mostly did his job on this play, and he only did 1 thing wrong (and there may have even been a reason for why he wasn't running full speed - maybe he was slowing up to block).

If you read the article of when Carr had his issues with the Raiders is that he had a tough time being called out for his own issues by Mcdaniels. Instead would point fingers elsewhere; unfortunately its the same behavior here. Instead of acknowledging your own issues, he continues to shift blame elsewhere. Its a toxic environment when your so called leader is not taking blame for his own issues and then throwing other players under the bus. Not sure if Winston is better, but I could promise you lot of these players rather play for him than Carr at this point.

I mean the guy covering Olave doesn't know the progression.
You don't ever slack off on a football field.
Coaches could learn something, or the play can breakdown in any number of ways so you need to be aware and hustling.
If you are an eligible receiver on a play you need to be prepared to make a catch if needed.
The success of a play in football relies on all 11 people doing their job all the time.
Carr fricking up doesn't take someone else off the hook for not doing their job.
Total crap effort from Olave.

“Carr fricking up doesn't take someone else off the hook for not doing their job.”
- yea but the guy not doing his job has no right to call out the other guy not doing his job. Thats not accountability; thats “not my fault- its yours.”
I think thats what MT13 is trying to clear up. That this play isn’t ONLY about Olave going full speed. There are several critical mistakes in reading the play made by Carr.

Taysom knows this offense 10x’s better than Carr

In short, Derek "Best QB in the NFC South" Carr is a loser and a fricking moron, which some of us tried to tell the lil guys on this forum over and over and over.
Posted on 10/21/23 at 7:19 pm to Olric
The sad part is Taysom was actually open. Carr is just not very good and gun shy. You Carr apologists are sad.

Lil guy, I’m proud because I celebrate the accomplishments of my sons, no matter how big or small.
As your father, it is flattering and humbling to see one of my sons begin to imitate his father as you did here.
I love you, son.
