Just like anyone with a brain could see Army and their fans see through our Phony niceness and think of it as patronizing.

This endzone gesture is almost saying, "Hey we expect to roll on Saturday night so here is a paint job so you don't think we hate you too." We've seen this scenario before when Army is a big underdog to a ranked opponent. The double OT Oklahoma game no one saw. The OT game at the Big House. Army isn't scared. We will never walk in and not believe we can win the game. Final Verdict: This was a well intentioned gesture but I think it will have the opposite effect for Brian Kelly and the Tigers. I think LSU thinks so little of their opponent that they felt the need to do something nice for us. Almost patronizing, really. To that I say, thank you. Thank you for making the endzones look like home turf for us because we plan to spend a lot of time in them on Saturday. BEAT lsu

Still don’t understand why they went with M81 woodland camo - what is this Kosovo?
Multicam would’ve looked better IMO…

Said some dude on an Army fan message board. Not the team or the coach. Nothing to see here.

Looks like someone is looking for a narrative to help themselves get fired up. Good.
And we should boo them on the field. It’s part of the experience. It would be disrespectful to do anything else.
I like the idea someone on here proposed the other day: treat them great before the game. Treat them great after the game. But during the game they’re tiger bait.

All this cheer for Army stuff is soft.
We are playing them in a football game. Boo them like any other opponent. If they can't handle boos, how the hell are they going to handle fighting for the country?
It is patronizing. That quote was correct.
When the game is over, show sportsmanship and move on.

we’re going to kill then.
and the reason we’re going to kill them is because we don’t require our players to join the army after they graduate so we recruit players who want to go play in the NFL after college.
given that their players
will be defending my country I am don’t feel the same level of animosity toward them i do players who make the decision to play for a POS program of sister frickers like Alabama

Well…as a Navy man I have no love lost for the Army. However, if you boo the Cadets that just happen to play football for four years while they prepare to be an officer to support and defend our constitution, then you are 100% classless and have no right to call yourself an American!

Our offense is like the US military forces...#1. Our defense on the other hand would be like Canada...so they will probably score

Except it's not patronizing. But people are free to think, or in this case overthink, what they want. I have several friends and family members who served in the Army. To a person, they consider this as a respectful gesture.
If LSU played a service academy every few years, perhaps they would not do this.
If the news weren't rife with examples of why we need a strong military, perhaps this gesture would not have come into their mind.
Man, if you are so triggered at the idea of being respectful to the West Point Cadets and somehow equate this to pulling against LSU, just show up at Tiger Stadium and boo them. Boo them getting off the bus, boo them coming out of the tunnel. It's your right to do it. Just quit starting threads about it.
