I always considered the booing and hissing to be facetious and traditional....Like booing the villain in a play when he comes on stage.
Nobody, including the opposing team is offended or intimidated. I have seen some very bad teams come into Tiger Stadium and never remember one leaving pre-game b/c they were booed...

Exactly we'll welcome them to Freds and let our women do that

I have no problem cheering them when they take the field and then giving them the Death Valley experience once the game starts. I think that works for both sides.

I think its hilarious that it bothers you this fricking much that someone asked you not too boo Army. They aren't asking the football team to go easy on Army. Its just altering one aspect of the experience just to show a little respect to some kids that have chosen to serve our country.

Can LSU please just beat the shite out of Army so we can be done with this nonsense. It's honestly so condescending that it would piss me off if I played for Army

I would hope members of our Army aren't fragile enough to not be able to handle a few boo birds in the crowd.

Their players are looking forward to a memorable and fun experience they can look back on and tell stories about down the road. Treating them as different from any other team would be pretty lame and disappointing to them I'd imagine.

Rabalais is an idiot.

Trust me. These guys would absolutely love for Tiger Stadium to be at it's absolute best.

Boo the shot out of them!

This should be all you need to confirm that LSU beat sports writers get all of their info and talking points from the Rant.

Can we just hold a special 1 minute BOOOOING for Scott R, he’s such a journalist type tool, loves the drama of the game(meaning soap drama) more than the actual playing of the game.

I can pretty much guarantee when Army takes the field hearing the boos, the Black Knights won’t flinch. They’ve heard, and prepared, for a lot more than that.

FIFY.

And honestly I don't care one way or the other. I respect the men and women who serve this country. However, booing the football team when they take the field is not "disrespcting the Military." LSU is even painting the endzones camo to honor them. This whole "don't boo" BS is just that BS. The Army Football team does not care if they hear a boo when they enter the field.

This is not a military exercise. Treat them the same. It is not disrespectful for a sporting event. And frick Rabalais!!!

Right.

No need to act like patronizing Alex Boxistas that think treating the underdog like little brother makes them better fans.

These guys are playing a football game and old enough to understand the boos aren’t personal. If you don’t want to boo them for your own personal reasons but no reason to recruit others to your self righteous cause. Maybe Scott should quit focusing on fan discipline and focus on some self discipline by not slamming down 8 tiger dogs during a game

i would be willing to bet if you asked their football team how they would want to be treated they would tell you the same as anyone else

Yep. I can guarantee the boots on the ground and veterans don’t give a frick if the future officers get booed
