No shot at you or anyone else at all, that stuff is pertinent to how this season and the next few will play out.
That was more telling myself to stop because I can get a tad carried away and no one really cares what I have to say about anything.

Let's talk about how we're about to beat the dirty, low down, no good son of a bitch Rangers.

It’s clear as Maldanado chasing a fastball high out of the zone, your mutual scout friends are obviously Ryno and dukke v.

How about Altuve's numbers vs Scherzer lifetime?
If that doesn't get you fired up, nothing will
.154 across the board in 25 ABs
But to actually attempt something close to optimism, I will point out that the balls flying out of Philly looked surprisingly similar to the ones flying out of Arlington in September
Also, I'd like to think that FOX would like to see this series get past 4 games, so I would be very surprised if there's umpire shenanigans out there tonight

astros baws - is stros ML a good bet?
Posted on 10/18/23 at 12:28 pm to wahoocs
Wasn't Altuve dominant against Eovaldi before game 2 and yet went 0-5 in the game?
I feel Altuve will go opposite against his history and have a good game against Scherzer but who knows? Just trying to be optimistic.

I have my questions about it, but it ranks Nola out around average or just slightly above the last few years
Yeah, I know he's struggled overall the last couple seasons, but that movement last night was just undeniable and works both ways to either side. Astros have a very good history with maximizing stuff

I’m just imagining him pitching to a 4.66 ERA while on a 7 year 180 mil deal or something. These threads would be all over him
We can all agree with that. I wouldn't flinch at 6/150, but not negotiable. And like the other guys we've let walk, no regrets. Always works out in the team's best interests.
I will add that I recall my comments about Scherzer and Verlander post trade deadline, and that I trusted Scherzer in these situations more than JV. So far JV has lived up to his end, but I'm not backing off on Scherzer and expect him to shove it up our arse.
I so want to be wrong

We are one Pena home run away from sparking the rest of the bats.
Posted on 10/18/23 at 12:49 pm to BringBackTheToonces
Pena will never homer again.
There are apparently 2 distinct Pena's
The low average Pena who swings hard but can't recognize a slider
The Pena who hit .284 in the second half and doesn't chase sliders but has a flat ground ball generating swing.

76 with low humidity in Arlington tonight. Roof closed. What a tax payer funded racket these retractable roof Stadiums are. Think about all the additional tax payer monies that went into engineering and costructing these structures and they don't use them under the handful of ideal conditions they get a year.

Since I'm late, I'd just like to add that I'm expecting a cheap Brantley replacement and that's about it. I'll believe Crane is spending big time tax money when I see it. Hope I'm wrong.
But yes, let's save that talk for after the parade.

Is that the same as launching it into the sun? Tucker’s whole demeanor screams “defeated.” I certainly hope I’m wrong.

I wish we could keep Brantley. He's such a good hitter. I just don't think we can rely on him anymore to get through a season. Won't surprise me if he retires.

An apt descriptor of his swing at the moment. He's got a big loopy swing, he's uppercutting so much Prince Fielder cringes and he's late. So what ends up happening is he gers under everything and sends it to the left side.
If you can think back on his at bats, try to remember how many foul balls back toward the 3rd base dugout there's been or how many shallow pop outs just into the left field grass.

Bregman and Tucker named gold glove finalists, Dubon is a finalist at 2nd base and "utility". Didn't know that was a thing

Wasn't it us that knocked out Scherzer early and he got hurt during this start? We need deja vu all over again, but he doesn't need to get hurt.
