What made you feel old today?

Today is character day at my high school. I dressed up as a Jake Blues. Most of the kids thought I was Oppenheimer.

I’m a teacher. And I guess I’m old. Many of the younger teachers thought I was MiB.

You have to admit even with tortoiseshell Wayfarers and the correct fedora and possibly even with mutton chops the costume kinda reads generic unless you look a lot like John or have an Elwood with you.

Called in sick when was really just hungover from watching the Astros and Monday Night Football. No party, wife was out of town and just sat on the back deck by myself, outdoor fireplace, 75” screen, and killed a 12 pack enjoying the cool weather.
