Why for a number of reasons.....
#1 he cant be president, already served 8 years..... SoH is 2nd in line to replace president

He cannot be elected President again. However if he was SOH he could be President and serve out the term(not longer than 2 years) if something happened to the President and VP.

He could serve for up to 2 years as POTUS. If it were more than that, the line of succession would skip over him.
That being said, this is ridiculous.

If Bush had not ducked and dodged at the last second in that shoe throwing incident he would have been nailed right between the running lights. Gawd I wish it would have happened. He really deserved that and more after what he did to the Iraq people and our soldiers.
