He waited on Diana Ross one night and as she was leaving he noticed she had not left a tip. He followed her right outside the restaurant and asked very respectfully if there was something wrong with the service he provided.
She opened her purse. Pulled out a one dollar bill, wadded it up and threw it at him and said, “Here’s your fricking tip.”
Black diva who doesn’t tip. Most shocking thing I’ll hear today.

I once said hello to Keith Carradine at a hotel and he looked at me like I was the scum of the earth. I didn’t even ask for an autograph. I asked what brought him to Shreveport. I guess that was very offensive. This was probably 30 years ago.
You're the 3rd person that I've heard says Kieth Carradine was the biggest a-hole celebrity ever, the other two had some association with the local actors guild or something like that and were part of the movie set - both had the same to say though years apart from each other telling me and both unsolicited.
I've heard from the same two that Jackie Gleason was the second biggest a-hole they ever encountered. He was a tyrant during the filming of the Toy here.

Getting in an elevator in B'ham and there's Dean Malenko and Chris Beniot. As Beniot is getting out he say "you look like you're going to the fricking prom". I held my reply until after the door had closed.

When I lived in Dallas my apartment shared a parking garage with an office. I was pulling in to the garage one day and I had to stop suddenly cause some a-hole was jaywalking right in front of me. I stop and give the what the Hell look at the guy. It was fricking Roger Staubach. I almost hit him. He apologized for walking out in front of and was real cool about it. I would have been run out of the state of Texas if I had hit him.

Got to deal with a lot of celebrities at the old job, but only had one interaction in the wild.
Was sitting at a local restaurant bar right about opening time. Sat down in my usual spot and ordered a drink and some food. Robert Downey Jr. sat down next to me. I talked to him for about 30 minutes or so about fishing, good hiking spots, and whatnot - never acknowledged his celebrity or anything. He thanked me for the conversation and paid my tab.

Not an a-hole story but good friend of mine was visiting behind the scenes at a movie studio. A friend of his is/was a producer or something similar. He introduced my guy to Vin Diesel who was one of the most flaming homos he's ever met. He thought Vin was joking he was so feminine sounding and acting. After they left, he told my buddy that's the real Vin flaming af.

My buddies and I were having drinks with our scuba guide at the Soggy Dollar in St Maarten. Liam Neeson had just flown in and he came over for a drink while they loaded his stuff on the boat to go to his yacht. He knew our scuba guide so he came over and spoke and introduced himself and bought the next round and shot the shite with us for a few minutes. However he didn’t invite us on his yacht. What an arse (sarcasm he seemed pretty chill for a movie star)!

Devery Henderson I met I'd say maybe a year after retirement, he was extremely nice.
Karl Malone, was also real nice, very country
Leslie Nielson I met back in the early 90s on plane, sat next to him. Only a short flight, maybe an hour. He was nice also.
I don't get star struck or ask them about their careers though

Exactly. We run into assholes every day. Why single out the famous people? Everyone in this thread has been an a-hole to someone at some point.

frick Bubba
Since Bubba is popular on here I will tell this one as it's pretty funny.
Went to the tournament in NOLA 2014 (or 15) and it was right after Bubba had won the Masters. I was at the Masters the year he won. The girl I was with brought a Master's hat I bought her and a pink marker specifically to get him to sign the hat. She was a big Bubba fan. Whatever.
We follow him and he finishes his round and starts to sign autographs at the circle drive in front of the clubhouse where they have barricades set up. I walk her over and point to a gap in the crowd of 90% kids and say "stand there." She says No and goes to the very end of the line of people. Obviously, people are stepping into the gaps along the barricade so we are there for a while. He finally makes it to our end and is at the kid before us. We are THE LAST people in line. Just as he signs for the kid, his caddie taps him on the shoulder and he turns and walks away. Now I get that he sets a time limit and adheres to it, I would do the same thing. But we are the last people standing there.
I start laughing my arse off as she is standing there with the Master's hat, pink marker and a stunned look on her face. He looks back at us, shrugs and walks off. Needless to say, she was livid and I tried to tell her the story was better than any autograph. She threw the marker in the trash, put the hat in her purse and HATES Bubba to this day.

This. Just rich people with idiotic takes. Can’t think of anyone I’d go out of my way for an autograph for

I think it's funny that the topic of the thread is to talk about a-hole celebrities and over half of the thread is dedicated to when celebrities demonstrated they are nice decent humans.
Always thought the notion of putting celebrities of any sort on a pedestal was a bit odd. You shouldn't look up to anyone because of the type of work they do. Should be based on their character alone. But it's also nice to see that celebrities that aren't trash, because the general public does seem to treat them differently.

Just for LSU players, Bobby Moreau and Chris Williams(still LSU career interception leader) were great to us as kids visiting campus.
Also, somewhat more recently, Dominick Davis and family were great, down to Earth folks.
Now that I think about it, most celebs have been at least polite to me, if not downright nice.
Even Dan Quayle, whom I almost knocked down some stairs. He was already a former VP and was running for President so his security was awful. (There was a big crowd - both for him and a busy day at the courthouse - I got jostled then shoved pretty hard into him. I grabbed him to keep him from going down the stairs. He turns and I said, "Sorry Mr. Quayle.", and went about my day. He was downright cordial under the circumstances. Happy for a big crowd, I suppose.)
Hell, I didn't even know he was going to be there ...

Went to a meet and greet at the Paragon Casino where former LSU and Saints players were in attendance. Went straight to the Ice Bar after work to have a few drinks and wait for my wife to meet me. Devery walked in and sat next to me. Talked for an hour or so. Extremely humble and grateful, even let me put on the Super Bowl ring.
Went to the Saints draft party last year, and he was signing autographs. Introduced myself and brought that night up. He remembered me and said he was still trying to find Chad Lavalais’ big arse (which was a running joke that night at the Paragon).

A few years ago me and some friends went to see ACDC in Memphis. One of the wives wanted to go see the ducks at that hotel where they come down the elevator. We are watching the ducks and lo and behold, who is sitting at the bar but Brian Johnson, lead singer of ACDC. We go over and have a few drinks with him. He is a hoot. Talks just like he "sings". He invited us to some Irish pub but we didn't go. Really cool guy

I’ll tell you who isn’t. The Rock, at least not during his wwf days. I worked at elmwood fitness center in the early 2000s. We had a special needs guy who did laundry and was the biggest wrestling fan ever. Nice kid but he was A LOT if you are in a hurry (loud, talks your ear off, moody). The rock came into the locker room after working out (they had a show in NOLA). And the guy just immediately gets super excited and starts spouting off catchphrases. Rock basically treated the guy like he was family and even went and got Kane and Edge to come back in the locker room as well to meet him. There were no cameras and nobody else really around. Just made this kid’s year for no other reason than he was a fan.
Man, this made me happy

Not an a-hole story but a cool one nonetheless, at least to me.
It was 1990 or 1991 during Desert Shield, and I was in the Marine Corps stationed in Sheik Isa airbase in Bahrain (VMFA-314 if any one gives a shite). One day, I was eating lunch with my sergeant in the Bahraini chow hall. We were running 12 hour shifts plus changeover, seven days a week, and we are brain dead. While staring at our food eating, someone sits down on the other side of the bench. We didn't even look up from our food, until we hear "Hi, can I sit with you" in a woman's voice. We looked up into Brooke Shields' eyes. She sat down and had lunch with us. She said we looked most in need of some company. She was there with Bob Hope's USO tour. She chatted with us for about a half hour. She is absolutely beautiful in real life, and I remember she was incredibly friendly. Whether forced or not on her part, she was very charming and personable.
