What a baller

Same.
There were a few of us on here that were pissed they were passing on him.
Happens every yr.

Oh I was in that group

He and Jahmyr Gibbs were both recruiting board favorites. Both I’d say are good at football.

Almost all of us wanted him. I remember Tyrann being the comp.

Ditto for Kaufman from Rummel

Definitely a miss
Louisiana always has dudes like him. No excuse not to bring them in

Facts. Are there any misses that are playing well elsewhere on the defensive side of the ball. Playing in college right now.

Not the same situation, but I thought we should have pursued Edgerin Cooper, but we stiff armed him for other higher ranked LBs that didn't work out. Cooper has turned out to be a pretty solid LB for aggie and would be at least a solid rotation guy for us. He's more athletic than Penn.

Covington High doesn’t produce many but he’s one.

I'm pretty sure we offered him late in the process, like in December or January of that year. He ended up decommitting from Tech and most of the experts expected us to get him, but obviously he ended up going back with Tech in the end.

I was so mad about that. It wasn't even a full recruiting class.

I've always said, the football competition in LA is higher than most other places. As a result, I'll trust a high 3-star kid from LA more than I'll trust a 4-star from somewhere that doesn't have the level of talent and competition.

Y'all find some weird things to get mad at. There will always be misses and hidden gems in recruiting. Plus, there are a lot of external factors that affect kid's choices and whether offers are even extended.

When was the last time a Rummel player didn't pan out?

He wasn't really hidden to people who pay attention in to Louisiana high school football. He was an all state player that took over games and camped extremely well. He's a beast.
Don't get me started on Kaufman. Orgeron went stargazing. Kaufman is now playing against us for Auburn this weekend as a starter in their secondary. Great kid too, I think he was in the band and a 4.0 student too.

So many people screamed about him back in HS, probably as much as anyone I remember. All of you were right.

How is that a BS question? I'm simply implying that Rummel guys seem to have successful careers at LSU. I can't recall one that didn't besides Koy Moore. Which also implies that if Rummel has a star player LSU should recruit them because they will be good players for LSU i.e. Diggs, Steltz x2, Lonergan, Chase, Fulton, etc
