I highly doubt the Chinese would get involved, because they know Iran is toast. They prolly like the distraction this is for the US anyways. Might take some eyes off of Taiwan for them. Further proves that the Russians and Chinese weren’t really aligned with Iran. They just used Iran as best as they could, to disrupt the US in geopolitics. They got all they could get out of this Iranian regime. Maybe that’ll show other countries across the world, who are thinking about aligning with Russia and China, that they aren’t reliable allies.

If you don’t understand what China has the capacity for doing to us as a result using asymmetrical warfare and how us deciding to defend a potential invasion of Taiwan could trigger their activation I don’t know what to tell you.

You're missing the point. Implying it would be a WORLD WAR by default means we would be involved as the current top dog in global affairs.
Depending on when you define it as starting, there were 3-9 years (or maybe more) where the US wasn't directly involved in WW2. We got into the game late in WW1 as well.

WWII stopped after Japan surrendered.
If one considers the Cold War and other issues to be WWIII is a separate matter because there was an end to that fighting.
