You know, it's easy to overlook what is socially normal for the sake of a better looking ding dong, but I gotta say, it does seem barbaric to do to a newborn baby for the parents' religious beliefs.

"Hey baby boy! **CHOP** There we are! You're welcome for the Judaism and Islam*!"

We never talk about circumcision, but we are quick to talk about the genital mutilation of females from other countries (for religious purposes) and how messed up it is that doctors will chop off a little girls' and boys' body parts in adolescence if she thinks she has a problem.

The entire medical practice needs to be broken and reformed in many ways.

I am 100% happy I was circumcised for a whole host of reasons.

If you really look at it objectively and take away the social stigmas, circumcision really is an odd practice (I say as a happily circumcised man)

You need to study more. It was a Jewish tradition and Paul said it was not necessary for Gentiles. It has become the norm for health reasons. Fewer infections. Do you know how they do it? Baby doesn't remember it.

Bunch of idiocy up in this thread demonstrating it doesn’t know or understand the origins or utility of this procedure.

Educate yourself prior to bloviation is my advice…

Yes, I'm well aware. It was just a crossed wire. Thanks, dick.

*edit*

Btw, it's still from an Abrahamic religion and Christians still do it. It's origins are relevant, sure.

So you think circumcision is equivalent to a total penis amputation?

I think there’s a pretty big difference between removing a skin tag (a large one in my case) vs. removing the entire member and turning the person into the opposite sex.

No doubt. I agree with that, but it's still totally under the radar for fked up practices in the medical industry.

It’s not your child so mind your business. People calling it mutilation need to get over themselves.
