Those games against JFK and Opelousas are going to prove to be better wins than people gave St Amant credit for. JFK is the 2nd ranked team in 2A before tonight and Opelousas is a dam good team.

ETA- looks like JFK lost tonight. Figures, lol

the most similar to us are Hahnville

Maybe 10-15 years ago. I’m haven’t heard a lot of good things about hahnville lately

This is probably the closest comparison

It is a point of emphasis this year

I thought I saw Kennedy kicked arse tonight when I was looking at scores

They beat Sarah Reed 56-0

I think you missed the part where I said they develop players better at Destrehan. Coaching is our problem and you’re proving my point. Justin Jefferson was a 2 star prospect and didn’t even make the football team at first. Jordan was a running back that could manage a game. Chalmette had one of those type of players that decided to move because he didn’t want to play for this staff. Greg is now the starter at Warren Easton I believe. That’s happened to a few players that decided to go elsewhere.

we should be scheduling a whole lot tougher this cycle upcoming

If we are going to be in this terrible district again for another 2 years, we really need to upgrade our out of district.

Setting aside ML King which we didn’t have much choice because of grace king, in our 5 non-district games we played 1 5A team. That’s not good enough

That was a killer. I was spotting for the PAnguy for that game. I just put my head down a thought about what could have been. JHode won it all that year. We will see how far we can go this year in the weeks to come. It’s hard to win it all with the Calvery’s and St. Charles’s of the world but they will give it their all for sure.

Destrehan is so good, it's ridiculous. Outscored its opposition 545-91 in 2022 and 240-32 in 2023. It's the best team in the state again this season.

Final:

Airline 35
Capt Shreve 60

Shreve stifled Airline’s passing game.
Airline couldn’t stifle Shreve’s running game (or its own, untimely turnovers).

This Babin kid seems pretty good. Kind of opens up the offense. Gets the ball to the receivers and playmakers,

Something you can always count on is a Babin at QB for St. Amant.

Hopefully the LHSAA saw it. Lots of outside the lines stuff in a short period of time. Unfortunately need even more draconian sanctions to stop this.

I had been hard on Rummel’s defense all year, I found out there were two freshman at safety in the Shaw and Holy Cross games because of injuries. Rummel has eight starters out.

Monica made adjustments and the defense looked good last night. Kid that made the last play defending the Curtis receiver was moved to DB from a running back position.
