LSU has used it also. I remember Matt Flynn at Bama one year- VERY flagrant
In the past we have done it but we needed to do it on Saturday and we didn't and it definitely cost us. IDK if it'd have helped all that much but one extra stop and we win the game.
Also how did Matt Flynn fake an injury to slow down the defense? That doesn't make sense.

I agree or make them sit out that particular series or until a change of possession

I agree but how do determine if they're faking or not?

Faking an injury after we get the ball to the one yard line and try to go hurry up to score is some absolute bullshite. Kiffin should've been fined for being a c u n t

That's a tough because it's hard to know when a guy is hurt and when he's strategically flopping. But when a guy looks to the sideline and then sort of just sits down, that's a good place to start.
Exactly. I'll never forget the A&M dlineman that flopped against us in 2019. We scored the next play and I laughed so hard. It should be a penalty but like other posters have said it's pretty difficult to prove a guy isn't cramping if he reaches for his leg and sits down. Now if they look to the sideline and then sit, it's pretty damn evident they're flopping.

The NFL charges timeouts for injuries. If there are no available timeouts, there can be a 5 yard penalty delay of game on each subsequent occurrence. You start charging timeouts for injuries you’ll see that shite stop.

There’s no way to have indisputable evidence that someone is truly not hurt. It’s literally impossible.
there are 35+ cameras at a college football game. any number of which are pointed at the sidelines watching the players/coaches.
if there are coaches yelling and pointing to the ground, as if signaling a player to go down, there is your "indisputable" video evidence. no way the players are doing it all on their own.

They should have to sit out for at least 3 plays after the “injury”.

If the “injured” player is is a defensive player, he must sit out 5 minutes of play while his team’s defense is on the field. Same for offense. If he’s faking it, the 5 minutes is the penalty. If he’s really hurt, he doesn’t need to be in the game anyway.

Ive personally witnessed a wide range of injuries occur on seemingly innocuous plays.
I mean maason smith tore his ACL just jumping around after a play.

Except for when LSU does it?

I agree! But there’d be so much criticism

The way they go down some are prima donas
Posted on 10/6/23 at 11:28 am to Grad92
You could make them sit more than one play though
