3 piece whole catfish, fries, coleslaw, 3 hush puppies and sweet tea. It’s just under 20 bucks. Place is only open Thursday/Friday/Saturday for dinner. If they have A good desert that week (like peanut butter pie) I’ll get a slice.

Silly millennial, fast food is too low class for a refined boomer palate.

Best I know of right now for a family in a pinch is this Domino's deal. Hard to beat for carryout at around $22 all in.

Hi Nabor's daily lunch special is a good deal. It's similar to the one that Ralph's Market used to have when that place was in BR.

Only place I go is a food truck that sells burgers. About $13 for the burger by itself.

BYOB restaurants. There is a really killer Italian place that is byob close to us. It saves us on costs for alcohol markup. They only charge a one time $5 fee. The food is reasonably priced for a white table cloth kind of place.

Just grab a special from a local mexican restaurant, usually around $12.

Tough to beat Chili's 2 can dine for $25 or the 3 for me for $10.99 deals.

Not Fast food (although it's ready fast) but Bellue's off of scenic is excellent for the price and nice portions too. Right off scenic near Exxon but worth the detour if you are in the area

for fast food? the best value is probably
Popeyes big box meal when its around. Now 5 years ago it use to be $5, $6 about 2 years ago, looks to be $7 now...but still not bad. Use to get it all the time in the $5 days

The $6.99 Big Box combo meal deal returns to Popeyes for a limited time this summer.
For $6.99, you get two pieces of Classic or Spicy fried chicken, two regular sides, and a buttermilk biscuit

After a nice shower I like eating at the Y. Using get a pink taco. All it cost is time and effort.

McDonald’s 20 piece chicken nuggets and 2 double cheeseburgers is like $9. No drink but I mostly drink water anyways. This is more than enough for a meal

Haven’t tried this biggie bag but that sounds legit.

Hell I’m in my 20s and I would prefer not to download a stupid app just to buy food. Maybe I will have to cave eventually

There's a German restaurant in my hometown serving Bavarian fare and while the upfront cost is a good bit it really isn't that expensive because it feeds me 3 times.
I'll usually get either Jaegerschnitzel or Gypsy Schnitzel with spatzle and the plate costs around 25 bucks or so. So it comes out to around 8 to 9 bucks a meal and nowadays that ain't bad, especially considering the food is pretty damn good

Yeah, most of the places I go are local now unless I’m in a hurry. Might as well if it’s the same price as fast food.

When it comes to families I think the Popeyes or churches family chicken meals are still a good deal. It’s harder to find a good cheap option for a single person it seems like
Posted on 10/3/23 at 11:49 am to ThePoo
Every Tuesday go to Popeyes and get the 2 piece special.
