”It’s been two years since we had that offense that was rolling. Now we’re kind of in this rut of,” Kamara said according to John Sigler of USAToday.com. “It is what it is right now. What you see. Like I said, we’ve got to have some conversations about something. Because I don’t like losing.”

Wonder what’s changed….

ETA: I could help someone build a house. That doesn’t mean I can build one myself.

Carmichael handed Payton his tools. Now he’s being asked to build it on his own.

It's been the trend the past few years. Not sure why it's not obvious to the front office.

The whole game seemed to be short-arse passes from Carr to any receiver. Carmichael is a cancer to this team...fire him now and stop the bleeding!

Bet he gets traded before the deadline for pennies on the dollar.

Probably a 5th round pick from Buffalo or Baltimore, if I had to guess.

Too many low percentage shot plays on third and short or medium., not just a bunch of short throws. Problem with the short throws is they were all almost to Kamara in the flat. Very easy for the D to diagnose. Where were the slants with Thomas, the quick outs with Olave, the TE working the middle of the field? And how about call some more runs with Kamara between the tackles, which were working when Pete decided to run them.

Honest question-

Is our offense worse with Kamara?

I know he only played the one game, but that was definitely the worst we’ve looked all season ‘featuring’ him with all those touches.

I honestly thought he was the only guy with a pulse on offense Sunday so no. Can’t make plays if the play calling doesn’t set them up.

This isn’t 2011 anymore. The Payton offense…like everything eventually does…has become antiquated. Yet, that’s all the OC knows because that’s all he’s done.

Many people want to can DA, but forget that Payton’s defense often struggled while his side of the ball was great. DA’s side of the ball has been good. His flaw was keeping Carmichael despite the fact (a) Carmichael himself was overly eager to take the job and (B) the “Payton offense” has been trending downward for a little while now.

He should keep his criminal mouth shut.

People want to can da because he begged Pete to stay.

Everything else you said was correct.

All he had to do at the end of last season was bring in a young offensive mind and pair him with Pete. Let Pete go back to being the "oc" in title and have the young mind help.

It really was that simple. They decided that it wasn't the offensive system or Pete. They were wrong as usual.

Dennis Allen needs to go at the end of the year. I'd bet almost anything that they won't fire him.
