The old standard def TV signal that broadcast stations used back in the stone age isn't even broadcast anymore. They didn't know what a widescreen TV was back then.

It was always more than just on the field. They were lucky to have a visionary GM who marketed the cowboys “concept” perfectly, with one of the greatest coaches ever and winningest team for over a decade.
Jerry Jones, if nothing else, has done a fantastic job with the business and marketing side as well. But “America’s team” hasn’t appeared in a conference championship in 28 years. That’s really remarkable.
As far as on field success, this has been a middling to mediocre NFL franchise for almost 3 decades.

The Dallas Cowboys defense is elite and the offense is pretty good. I would be fairly optimistic if I were a fan of that team.
