1.5 million people for each touchdown scored on Deion’s defense. Impressive metrics.

Incredible it edged out ND-OSU in prime time.

I believe that the OM-Bama game turned many people off because of the horrible commentators

THat's fine but the funny thing is that the majority of people did this and also complained that the media is talking about Colorado so much.

I have a hard time believing that 10 million people watched more than half that Oregon/Colorado game

At this point, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. Everyone is tuning in because they're tired of hearing about Colorado, so they hope to see them lose. The media sees the ratings, and in return talks about Colorado even more, therefore continuing to piss people off.

181K Missouri and Memphis?

that's pathetic.

LSU baseball has better tv ratings than that, and i'm not even talking about the postseason when i say that.
I'd bet the viewership for the Tennessee series in the regular season had more viewers on that Thursday night game.

Here's a nice random tv rating to show how pathetic that was since i couldn't find anything on the Tennessee series.
LSU-Ole Piss baseball on April 22nd, a Saturday at 2PM, drew 208k viewers while the NBA and NHL had playoff games going on, the XFL had a game going on, a Nascar race was on, a college football spring game was on ESPN, and the Zurich Classic was on.
The point there is that it doesn't matter what else is on. Fans of those teams will watch their team.
There are more Ole Piss and LSU baseball fans than there are Mizzou and Memphis football fans.

1. I'm not really sure it did LINK

quote:

No. 3 Ohio State's thrilling, (literal) last-second 17-14 victory against No. 13 Notre Dame in South Bend averaged 10.5 million viewers, making it the second-most-watched regular-season college football game ever on NBC Sports, the Fighting Irish's longtime television partner.

2. A lot more competition in primetime (no pun intended). PSU/Iowa, Texas/Baylor and LSU/Arky were all going on. Only other semi big game going at 3:30 was Ole Miss/Bama

As said a bit higher, no one was watching the Colorado game past halftime when it was 35-0 aside from watching as they showed Coach Deion every 30 seconds

If you didn't notice, all four of the lowest rated games were on the same channel. People aren't tuning into ESPNU.

But yeah, I would love to see Ole Miss baseball average 30K a game. Clown.

As previous poster stated, I think a lot of people took pleasure in the beatdown. The entertainment wasn't the game but watching it get worse and worse for Colorado by quarter and watching for a shut-out.

Outside of the top few it is amazing those numbers support the money networks have thrown at conferences.

That should be all the leverage NBC needs to tell Notre Dame to finally join the B1G. Highest rated game on NBC in forever...

and.....
is it somehow harder to click the ESPNU channel instead of the EPSN2 channel? That's not an excuse anymore. It's not 2003 anymore.
You think if the Memphis/Mizzou game was on ESPN and the LSU/Ar-Kansas game was on ESPNU the ratings would look different?

I said LSU baseball.
and i wouldn't doubt if LSU baseball's Thursday and Friday night SEC games averaged more than that pathetic rating Mizzou/Memphis put up.

A lot of cable packages that have ESPN don’t automatically have ESPNU. The same is true for streaming.
