1. Logan Diggs is the clear RB #1. The guy gains at least 4 yards almost every carry. Jackson is #2.
2. Hilton now clear #3 WR and Lacy should only be in on garbage time. Weird how Hilton got no targets last night. You'd think he'd get #3 CB on him so why no downfield bombs to him?
3. Weeks/Penn is best LB duo.
4. Womack needs more snaps, Savion Jones fewer. Jefferson more snaps, Smith fewer.

Fire away...

Hard to evaluate from stands but I do agree with Smith. Maybe he is still working some kinks out with his injury but he hasn't really gotten any pressure or stoped run effectively

Hopefully Smith is still playing himself into shape. I think patience is warranted - For now.

Do we not have better options at corner other than Alexander.

With Nabers working the slot he may drawn the 1 & 2 corner on multiple occasions

Hilton is #3. Needs to be out there more especially over lacy. He can absolutely take the top off more but I think more opportunities will come his way.

I can't argue with that. Masson obviously out of shape. He's not a factor yet

Cause neither of the other guys were covered all night. Both could have had 200yds each if Daniels were accurate early

Not sure 1-3 are obvious

Jackson is a beast but he hasn’t played a lot of football and we are in conference play. Give me Williams all day when it comes to pass blocking, ball
Security etc as the #2 back when we are in a contentious game

Hilton not getting targeting means it’s not obvious. I think he could be the best deep threat but it’s far from obvious and more speculation at this point

Speights has clearly been a step slow this year and it’s clear it’s because he hasn’t been 100%. The guy was all pac 12. Weeks is 18. Let’s wait and see him full speed before we say it’s obvious he shouldnt be starting

I agree with your #4

I agree with everything you said. Hilton should get at least 1 bomb attempt per game.

Heard @ RT and slide E Jones in. Gotta do something with that milk toast interior o line. I thought they’d be the strongest unit next to wr’s. Disappointing showing so far.

either Anderson or Hilton is 3/4 probably Hilton though.

Penn looked pretty good when not in coverage.

agreed. and I think people have some unfair expectations on Smith that he will come back from a year off and not miss a beat,

but Jefferson I think is playing really well. there are plays where he looks amazing.

I think you are spot on in all of this.

Jefferson needs more snaps. For one, he’s playing better than smith. Two, he will allow smith to stay fresh if he does turn it on.

Jones has been just as much of a disappointment as Smith imo. Kelly said scouts were buzzing about him because of his athleticism in preseason. He’s a ghost on the field. As much crap as people gave Gaye last season, Jones is no better.

The offense in general should be more creative with the routes. Hilton should be constantly stretching the field.

I agree with most, but I think Williams in the No. 2 RB. As for Smith, I have no clue what is going on. It might be a mental thing because he's afraid of getting hurt again or he might be saving himself for the NFL. Either way, very disappointed. As for the WRs, I don't understand why we don't target Hilton and Anderson more because they are game changers. My biggest concern is the breakdowns in the secondary and the OL has been less than impressive. Long way to go, so hopefully we will see some improvement against Ole Miss.

OP not wrong. #5 Threw a few dimes last night, decisive amdbnotbunderthrown or just flicked with the arm. Was impressed second half, because the first halfb foot shots and missed reads were tough. #5 got bailed out on underthrows a few times. There qas a period of time where it seemed obvious that we needed to run the ball and were going empty backfield. Got gashed on the RPO. I think the MSU win was a little bit of fool's gold. I'll take the win.
