Because football coaches are insanely OCD and see everything in a big picture view from their philosophy-scheme.
So guys who are great at 1 thing but can't do everything (yet, in this case), are written off b/c of coaching anxiety that somehow it would be a tell if the player played.

Top stud recruits signed out of high school last year already showing out: Weeks, Womack so far. It does seem stars matter after all.

I don't know what my realistic expectations were for Jefferson, but he has definitely exceeded them. Dude's puttin' in the work.

I have said that Kelly cannot evaluate talent. It took him half a season last year to get Perkins on the field. He’s doing it again. If you have depth, rotate them in and out! Ugh.

You don’t. You are just too stupid to realize that there is more to it. The coaches are only putting these young players in when they know they have a chance to succeed. When the circumstance dictates knowledge the kid doesn’t have the coaches keep them on the bench. This is why what you think you see isn’t the reality.
Or we can believe that some clown who goes by tigerfoot on TD knows more than any of the coaches who have ever coached LSU.
