The thing is everyone just acknowledged it’s an extortion racket anyway.
“Why should we as the public pay for a stadium renovation when you’re trying to move anyway.”
Situation feels pretty toxic honestly

Public payments of stadiums is disgusting.

Exactly. Rich enough to afford a stadium, but needs to be financed. People give Kraft shite, but he mostly built himself.

I’m biased. I’m a jags fan and I live close enough I can go to a couple games a year. It’s fun and I want them to stay. But jeez this team being here is such a roller coaster it just makes things awkward

The Khans couldn’t manage a wrestling company they were able to bring CM Punk in as a figurehead. Why does Goddell let these jackasses stick around?

Build a stadium that has future value or donate to Ukraine for a Roman candle party ?

Not sure you really appreciate the power structure here.

Damn. If they move to Baton Rouge we’ve already wasted that awesome Zydeco name on a hockey team.

Kill two birds with one stone - get rid of the Bears roster and replace them with the Jags, so no one has to watch the embarrassment that’s the Bears.

Well owner representation is kind of his job

Because he works for them and not the other way around?

It is, but that’s what happens when big business men like Kahn have the leverage.
He has the leverage, because it may be worth it for tax payers of Jacksonville to pay to keep the team, and pay for a part of the stadium. Jacksonville as a city would be absolutely screwed in the long run, without the Jags. Jacksonville isn’t a tourist city in Florida. The only real tourism/recognition of the city is because of the Jags. So imo it’s worth the tax dollars.

NFL teams make billions and want the public to pay for their office. frick them.
