I might let Dr Boz check my prostate.

Ozempic has created an interesting intersection on this board with people who are mad fat that people exist and are also mad that fat people are doing something to lose weight.

This is 2nd hand info on my end but that number is pretty consistent from multiple people. There are 3 - 4 Dr owned weight loss clinics that they all go to so they are probably keeping the price point held there for now at least. The $3200 is paid up front and no further money is paid for supplies or Dr visits. It’s a good price point for this area.

That's highway robbery compared to what is happening around here. But your people are also going to the doc for the injection weekly. People I know are paying $300 for 3mL (essentially 3 months or more worth depending on dosage) and that comes with all the injection supplies. Lab work once every 3 months if they are having issues.

I should say that these people are almost all taking Mounjaro instead of Ozempic and these Dr clinics are really nice executive style treatment centers. Very spa like experience.
ETA Most inject themselves but can go get the injection done in office if they wanted. Their blood work is monthly, though.

Calories burned > calories intake is usually a good start.
Her advice may be sound, I have no idea.

Keep in mind these are all tennis ladies who don’t work and live in very affluent areas.

Mounjaro is more expensive as well. ell fails again.
I can't speak from personal experience on this, but the pics I've seen sure look nice for the facilities in my area.

I go to one of these offices for smaller things and it’s better than many of the 5* spas I’ve seen.

Nearly everyone I know who takes Ozempic or Mounjaro paid for it out of pocket. All are women who gained 40-60 lbs over the last 5 years. They went to an initial consult Dr visit, injected themselves weekly and went back to the doctor once a month for bloodwork and general checkup before the refill was prescribed. Most were off the injections for weight loss after 6 months and now inject a small maintenance dose weekly. The majority of these women play

tOT frequently holds two diametrically opposed views at the same time.

insulin resistance?
so .001 of fatties?
Insulin resistance is likely present in a large number of obese people.
It's a positive feedback loop between obesity and insulin resistance which eventually leads to diabetes.

o how are you getting a drug that is covered for pre diabetes covered? Just asking?
If you are overweight you are likely insulin resistant/pre-diabetic and it helps that.
