Don't have any details, just heard it.

Good way to get a high paying position in the new Landry administration. Younger but very intelligent and with great experience.

I am proud of the impact we've made on this race, and thankful for my supporters and especially my family for the sacrifices they've made.
My heart will always be committed to Louisiana, and that is why I am happy to support
@JeffLandry
to be our next Governor. I believe that Jeff has the commitment and the courage to bring the fundamental reforms we need in state government. Our people need good jobs, good schools, and good health, and Jeff is the best candidate for the job.

I would like to know more about "fundamental reforms" Landry supports.

There arnt many "high-paying" positions in Louisiana State Government.

Nelson running for Chief of Administration for Landry?

It was obvious Landry was going to win the race more than a year ago. Amazing how many local “experts” we have here who refused to see it.

So much for being an agent of change

This is extra sweet because the handful of Richard Nelson buttboys we had on here were some of most elitist anti-Landry fart sniffers on the board.

I can’t wait to use the “you get what you voted for” for the next 8 years

He is the frat daddy, right?

I don’t think many here doubted from the start this was Landry’s race to lose once Kennedy opted out.
What has been debated and questioned is if Landry was the best choice of the field due to never seeming to care about Louisiana-specific issues and reforms. He seems to love the Washington DC red meat and only wants to weigh in on that and social issues.
But hey, Landry vs Wilson in the runoff…I’ll definitely cast my anti-Wilson vote.

Like DeSantis supporters towards Trump?

Wonder which agency he was promised. He hates LED. I’m guessing he will be the next secretary.

If Landry wanted to effect meaningful change, he'd enlist Nelson to work on a comprehensive tax reform package. Like what he has done or not, he is one of the very few legislators to have done the hard work on this topic and not simply throw out bromides to friendly audiences.

His chances were over after his votes in the special session

I assume securing this endorsement was more about acquiring ideas than votes. I hope Richard will have an opportunity to implement those policies via whatever future endeavors this affords him because I genuinely think his engineering brain needs to be let loose on systemic issues holding our state back. I don't see many of his supporters following this endorsement, but I understand it.

LOL--- who else they going to vote for?
Seems the only reason the other northshore candidates are hanging around is to force a runoff with the democrat. Doesn't make any sense.
