How’d y’all fare on opening day of teal? Feels like the year of “if you got water you’ll have ducks”.

i have a friend i used to guide with who owns an outfitter over around Winnie. They smashed them opening weekend.

I'm headed to Gueydan Friday. Also pretty good numbers but heard they are concentrated.

Loaded in flooded rice in Winnie/Anahuac area, but the only water is floating decoys. Marsh is super dry so nowhere to really hold them after they get torched so it might be feast to famine real quick.

LA opens Friday morning, the 15th correct?

I’m hearing places with water in Acadia and Vermillion parishes are loaded with teal right now.

Easy 6 man limit in Garwood Saturday morning …sounded like world war 3 on the prairie. Second weekend is usually tougher so it will be interesting to see how it goes

Limits across the board Saturday and Sunday. Garwood areas.

Limits Wednesday. I am surprised they did not get blown out. Feeling good going into Fri/Sat/Sun based on scouting.

If anyone need additional members I am in Katy, recently moved from LA. Looking for a place preferably west or SW of Houston but will go back east to Beaumont area of needed.

Just drove off a farm with 400 acres of flooded 2nd crop a few miles north of 10 between Winnie and Anahuac. Landowner doesn’t allow hunting and it was absolutely covered in teal. Reminded me of watching ducks in Saskatchewan.
