What are some of your favorite meal and snacks to lower my cholesterol? Mine is mildly elevated and I need to get back down with diet, exercise, and limited alcohol

Almonds. I buy big bags at Costco for a reasonable price. I prefer the smoked almonds over the plain ones, but I recently picked up a bag of Blue Diamond's Korean BBQ flavored almonds and they are really good.

You’ll need to take the yolks out. Whites only.

Dietary cholesterol has very little to do with blood cholesterol. It’s not 1982 brother.

Eat a bunch of Captain Crunch and Oreos. Zero cholesterol.

Eliminate processed foods as much as possible. It's that simple, yet hard.

The Mediterranean diet, the animal based with fruit diet (soft carnivore), and paleo diets are all similar and have pretty much the same mechanism - eliminate processed foods.

Don't listen to advice like this based on 1950s science which has been proven wrong repeatedly over the last 20 years.

Realize that your hands may be tied to some degree due to genetics. I've fought high triglycerides since my early 20s.

Get into sunflower seeds for snacking. Chinook is my current favorite brand since they don't have 3000% of your daily sodium intake in one bag

When I'm strictly low carb, I like the Blue Diamond Almonds of various flavors and pork rinds with mashed avocado & sriracha. You can buy individual cups of avocado at Sam's, and they're a perfect snack size. Pork rinds have cholesterol, but no carbs, and almonds/avocado is healthy fats that will help lower triglycerides and LDLs.

Cutting most of the cheese out of my diet helped me drop like 50 points. Cheese is loaded with saturated fat and I was eating a lot of cheese.
