We can’t run the ball through a wet paper bag. We need Daniels for his running ability.
Put in Nuss with zero running game and watch what happens when teams like Bama pin their ears back and come after him.
He’d be on his arse before he could complete his drop back.
We need the threat of Daniels escaping the pocked to open up the pass bc we can’t run.

We need the threat of completing a pass past the sticks

He'll throw it quickly A good passing game can open up the run game.

Put in Nuss with zero running game
The passing game could open up the run game

That’s just not true, Nuss actually has skill and can feel threats and roll in the pocket to make throws if he needs to.
This by God opens up the run game.
Who knew?

Tell me how you don’t understand football without telling me you don’t understand football!
Committing defensive players to defend the pass, frees up a more robust running game. The reason our running game from the RB’s is stagnant is because of Daniels.

He did fine against Georgia, a team with a better front seven than Bama.
Nuss gets the ball out quicker, and dare I say he’s more nimble in the pocket than Jayden (different than straight line speed).

I’ve been saying this for a while.
Some people just don’t get it because they think change = better, and it doesn’t.
Change = Change
Better = Better

This screams of a take from someone who doesn’t know football.
A fast athletic QB doesn’t beat a good pass rush as well as a decisive QB that knows how to slide in the pocket, make quick reads, and and get the ball out quick to hot routes. Hitting on those opens up the run game.
JD is predictable, indecisive, and tries to play superhero ball. Sure, he will break a couple of plays each game that will win over the simpletons. But those aren’t the kind of guys that are going to force defenses to cover the entire field.

I’m so tired of this bullshite narrative.

Put an aggressive QB in who isn’t afraid to push the ball down the field and forces the defense to cover the entire field and see how that running game opens up.

It's not quite as simple as this but not way off either: opponents stack the box and force JD to beat them with his arm. They fear his legs, not his arm. Hence, when they have the #s in the box it's gonna make it hard to run the ball effectively.
Almost none of what you described happened vs UGA last year when Nuss played.
