My taxes have never been higher

In my entire working career, my taxes have never been higher. And I make the same amount of money. I don't know what's changed but I'm paying $3500 more per quarter and now they want another $10,000 to wrap up my taxes. I guess this is helping the small business owner in some way I'm not aware of by building back better???

If more people had to pay taxes instead of having them taken out of a paycheck, I think we would have some radically different views around taxes and government spending.
Watching all that money in your account go out to taxes gives perspective.

Trump / GOPe tax cuts still in place. If they expire, your taxes will go up. If they are extended without budget cuts, your children and grandchildren will pay.

And the salt on that wound is the fact that futa, fica, sica, suta is completely wasted and SSI is probably mostly uncollectible

Come on man, Bidenomics is working. Inflation is down, millions of jobs added, and free internet for everyone.
But yes, I paid $6500 more in taxes last year.
Sad thing is, we are a weak nation and nobody is willing to step up for taxation without representation.

I don't believe there has been a change in the tax code, trump tax regime is still in place. Puzzling outcome.

Flat tax is the only fair tax.
Morons complain that the rich don't pay taxes. If they make 100X more than you then they would pay 100x more than you. But idiots argue against it.
As a bonus most Americans would get one of the two things back in addition to a fair system. One more day a year (the day you spent doing the govt's job of calculating your taxes) or the money you spent paying someone to calculate your taxes.
