Extreme heat has been so bad this summer that Americans without access to air conditioning are dying

Extreme heat waves in the United States this summer have so far killed hundreds of people.

The heat isn't over yet as states like Kentucky and Texas gear up for more dangerously hot days.

Many are dying because they lack access to air-conditioning.

The United States is experiencing extreme heat this summer so brutal that it's killing people who have no access to air conditioning. July, in fact, was the hottest month on record. Ever. By a lot.

We need the Feds to create an affordable air conditioning system policy so the homeless can walk around with portable AC units to keep cool in the summer.

I am in my 50s. This is the second or perhaps third-hottest summer of my life. 1980 was certainly worse. 1998 and 2011 were close.

First more people die yearly from cold in the USA than heat. Secondly up until air condition was invented people lived in extreme temperatures since pre Homosapien period

Where you live.

I live in Alabama and this has been one of the mildest summers I can ever remember (and I am also in my 50s). It usually starts getting uncomfortably hot around here in May. This year it didn't get to that level until mid-July, and we didn't have a day from the mid-90s or up until almost halfway through August.

It's hot right now and has been for a couple of weeks, but it should be...we're in the last half of August. And it's supposed to be cooling off back to the low 90s this week.

If this were true, every homeless person in the south and southwest would be dead. It’s hot. I’m not saying it isn’t. It gets damn hot every summer.

Not in Ohio and our region...We have only recorded 5-6 90+ degree days. It is currently in the 70s and low 80s for the next 10 days. I didn't have to turn my A/C on until the beginning of July. For this region...it has been a VERY mild Summer.

Yep.

Of course, no one is reporting on any of that.

Access- that is one of those frequently used leftist vocabulary code words. You never hear on non leftist use it. It means deserved or free.
