He was involved behind the scenes with a lot that went on in getting Sue Gunter's name on Dale's court. And that was tied directly to JBE's DNC agenda. But, at least openly, he's been quiet. Will be interesting to see if he remains so with a GOP Governor & LSU BOS coming into power for at least the next 4 yrs. Getting JBE out & a new conservative BOS in place will go a long way towards keeping the libs on campus at bay.

I graduated from LSU

I love LSU

I am encouraging my kids to look elsewhere

LSU is not the same college that it was 20 years ago. Now, I’m not bashing it. But I don’t think the LSU leadership across the board is going to move the college forward in the direction that I think is right.

He is with the tAlignment. If he can help translate our athletic success to a larger number of applicants and raise the overall profile of incoming students that would be great.

The sports teams are good so people think he’s doing a good job despite that having nothing to do with him. LSU’s academic rankings continue to drop. Admissions standards lowered. More holistic underserving applicants being accepted (re: dorm brawls). Crime on campus continues to be pretty bad.

This. He’s better than F King but the University needs to stop letting anybody that can breathe in. For one the campus doesn’t have the dorm infrastructure to handle the enrollment. Sophomores should not be forced to live off campus. The LSU student population needs to be 25K or less. The money grab of letting everyone in is not good for the university in the long run. It’s changed so much just in the short time my son was there (16-19 lived on campus all 4 years) to my daughter who is now a Junior and was forced off campus after her Freshman year.

He as done well, but I still don't like how LSU added him to the 2nd round of candidates when he wasn't in the first round of candidates; who were cut down to the 2nd round.

Just hand him the position next time if you're going to change the rules on the fly.

He hasnt messed with sports(which are doing well) and let the AD do his job, like he is supposed to, so people on this site have a favorable opinion of him. 99% of people's opinions on this question are centered around sports.

"Pleasantly surprised." "Exceeding expectations." Etc

Everyone saying this is never talking about anything but sports.

The guy's beliefs and writings cant be undone imo
