While we are dreaming........

Also a fan of the 25 Dorado Flat deck. I'm starting to like the "no back deck " option when fishing for trout by the islands. t-motor on spot lock and casting out the back, its nice to be a little lower and have the live bait well right in front of you. Im not big on the second station. also has live wells in the front.

That seems like ideal boat for the MS gulf coast. Louisiana varies so much, guess it just depends where you fish.

This One gives me a chubby.

If I wanted a no-frills, economical, battlewagon I'm going with a 24 Eastward Catamaran

I’ve got a lot of hours fishing on my buddy’s 24’ carbon edition Morada and it’s an unreal boat. If I were in the market for a 24’ bay boat it would be a toss up between the Morada and a 24’ Hells Bay Estero.

That ZCB looks "nice", but has absolutely zero storage. What's the point of a $200k 26' boat, that still has to have shite everywhere on deck.

I'll take my Prowler 25 cat over most any boat in that size range. The exception maybe being the Costa, but I haven't been in one. I regularly take it 60+ miles offshore. It LOVES the coastal nearshore/inland bay choppy waters. And has no problem beating the banks in the marsh for reds.

Anybody here ever fished the American aluminum boats?

I've still never seen one running in the water. I haven't rode in an aluminum center console yet that I really liked.

I’ve fished in a 28 with twins a few times. It’s a beautiful boat, incredible fit and finish, fishes super well. Buuuut aluminum just doesn’t ride like fiberglass.

the sea hunter Floridian 28 starts around 325,000. kevlar and foam filled to the gunnel. And every bell and whistle you can think of.

I'm wanting to build my own center console around that size but I can't make myself start on it until I find an aluminum boat that I like the ride in.

Just looked online at some Prowlers like yours since I wasn’t familiar. What a nice rig! How do you have her powered? Fuel capacity?

So?

You aren't getting 30 miles offshore in a 250hp surf board. Just don't bother fishing the shallow ponds. We're fishing not mud riding.

Why not build it out of fiberglass?

Don't know how

I'm building a console this winter out of fiberglass so I can decide if I have any business messing with that or not.

That bottom picture is an American?

That's damn sexy beer can work there. I think a little more air draft and flare at the bow would make that 100% the right answer to OPs question. I obviously have a heavy bias to offshore work though.
