Most likely outcome at this point.

But Jeb was beating Trump at this point in the campaign when they faced out. A LOT of ball still to be played.

This is funny. He’s further right than Trump.

Exactly my point! LOL. We don't need a far Right or Left candidate, we need a commonsense candidate.

Anti-establishment is a driving factor for a lot of voters. I agree with that. Not sold on this Ramaswamy guy. He is interesting and very witty but there is something about him that makes him not trust worthy IMO.

It's only fitting that somehow the party will not galvanize behind the leading nominee (and arguably the greatest GOP prez of our lifetimes) after scores of fake indictments care of the weaponized governmental branches under control of the current admin. But that's the world we live in.

Trump will be the rightfully earned nominee who will then either soar from the support of his party, or lose due to the fractionalized mess of saboteurs that want to bring the GOP back to irrelevancy.

What in Desantis's policies do you believe are not "common sense"

Honestly your point favors Trump. Jeb was the establishment candidate, the dynasty candidate of the Bush family. Ron is now the establishment candidate that the far right would want instead of Trump. But like I explained before MOST Americans are tired of the failure of traditional candidates.

Because Team Trump says so.

Ron's policies are virtually identical in most ways to Trump's, he just gives actual specifics as to how he can do them in many cases, and has a history of actually getting things done and legislation passed.

Honestly his support has only grown amidst all the controversy. It just seems the harder they try to trip him up the more strength his following becomes.

This isn’t happening. His base is just getting louder and more restless. You’re not adding anyone new no matter how many times he gets indicted

Yes the guy who backed Romney for Senate, appointed Wray, backed Romney's niece for RNC Chair, and proudly talks about his friend Lindsey is not Establishment. Neither is Vivek who is literally a Big Pharma Billionaire who is about to get a massive payday from Pfizer.

Some people just refuse to look at what is in front of them because to do so would destroy the lie they have built up in their mind.

He will win the primary and lose the general again and crater down ballot conservatives again…….Trump and his merry band of tards will claim fraud and cry while the country spirals down another circle of hell

rinse repeat

If the polls are anywhere close to accurate you are 100% wrong.

Have you seen who runs Trump's campaign? I have some incredibly bad news for you.

I'll absolutely melt if this country ends up being ran by two liberal Republicans.

Still better than two liberal democrats though...

But that is his downfall. He is not Trump, yet he tries his hardest to be viewed as the more polished Trump and it's not working. People see right through this as it makes him seem fake and disingenuous. This is the hallmark of a typical politician; they are like chameleons always trying to adapt to the eb and flow of society....trying to get that vote. Americans are tired of this.

Do you honestly think Biden actually runs in 2024? He will step down, or he will be forced to step down.

I'll answer your question with a question: Who do you view as the most "Republican" candidate, Trump or Desantis?

"Anti-establishment" is a bit vague because a candidate who says "I'm going to get rid of the Constitution and establish a communist central committee" would be anti-establishment.

For republicans the 2 opposing pitches to voters are:

1. "I'm a moderate who is willing to work with those across the aisle to bring unity to our country instead of division."

2. "I'm going to shrink the size and power of the federal govt and return the power to individuals, localities and states."

Pence is an example of messaging No. 1 while Trump and Ramaswamy (as well as Desantis) are messaging No. 2.
Now how much they can do it is a different question. But that is their message in the campaign.

The vast majority of Republicans today are totally dismissive of No. 1. It's like asking a homeowner to get along with the snake that invaded his house.
