Of the top players now as they can afford to buy career-ending-injury insurance.

Peyton Manning had it and it makes total sense, especially with the extreme NIL dollars being passed around...

What an original thought. They have probably never thought of that.

Wasn't there a bunch of reports about these athletic injury policies only paying Pennie's on the dollar of what they said they would?

I could be talking out of my arse

Isn’t this one of those BS policies that rarely pay out anything to make it worth it?

Keiland’s calves are reportedly the largest policy to date

Yep, that's why it's called insurance. But boy it sure would be nice if come the end of the year and you haven't needed it that you would get some of it back

Maybe that should or already is a part of the NIL packages for all returning draft eligible players.

Those insurance policies are basically useless. Almost impossible to get an actual layout from it

Yes. They ran a special on it on ESPN once. The payouts only materialize if you never play football again.

It takes a lot to get a payout and when you do it is still less than what a player would have made on their first contract. Major profit for the insurance companies.

Ciron Black had one and he ended up having to sue and went through a
long, drawn out, crappy process. Before ending up with less than advertised.

LOL ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Also it’s LORDS of London. Dylan Moses and his father (highly educated lawyer) went through this before. I wrote up a great letter about it defending his son.

Every person who has insurance of any type "wastes" their money on premiums until they don't. It's the entire point of insurance, you pay pennies and the company pays dollars. They're betting you pay more than you receive but it's not true for every insured.

Yea well Peyton had just watched his brother have a football career unravel and knew it could happen to anyone. Maybe he played with more confidence in college knowing that if the NFL didn't happen Lloyds would help him out.
