Here ye here ye townsfolk.
Chief Popeye has resigned.

Where life is even more sweeter now and that shite stain is gone.

And of course he blames health concerns and refuses to acknowledge any wrong doing as the reason for this. I hope they still go after him.

so pretty clear the investigations and scrutiny reached a point where someone had the conversation with the Chief.

Resign or we go public with everything we found. You can blame stress and your health being the main factors but go away

And who would have thought little ole Youngsville police chief and head honcho would be worse than the mayors of Nola and BR

Whatever they found must have been really bad if it finally pushed that stuborn old fricker to resign.

It should still go public. We paid for the investigation.

Being in the public eye can definitely do that. It’s like living in a fishbowl.

Damn, I had “Wanna spend more time with family” in the bingo of reasons he’d give.

Clearly you are close to the situation based on your posts here. I don't have any info outside of me seeing him around town and speaking with him cordially.

His son was on the same team as my son last year for baseball and I chatted with him a few times, he always seemed nice. Good 'ole boy kind of guy.

Clearly you don't care for him, can you share why that is? How do you know him?

I followed the whole councilwoman coverup pretty closely but for his part he just seemed to have too big a heart and was a "everybody makes mistakes" kind of guy.
