The obvious solution that won’t happen

Edit: Who would sign an online letter asking congress to make a Title IX exclusion with respect to football and to call for a new football-only collegiate governing body (NCAA can be for all others) ???
^^ Goal would be to get enough signees to get some press and possibly get some in people in positions of authority talking.

The obvious solution to college sports is to treat football differently.
The number of scholarships and the revenue/profits the sport generates makes it a beast unlike any other.
Football also complicates Title IX issues because there’s no female equivalent and obviously no girls are good enough to play (except a rare backup kicker).
So..
What can be done about it? Is there anything we as a community can do to stop the nonsense of treating football the same?

I mean it's obvious football will eventually break away and become teams associated with schools instead of part of the schools themselves.

I really hope that Congress spends time on sports rather than important things.

Isn’t it set equal to two women’s programs with no male crossover?

You mean you really want the government to further insert themselves into college sports?

When they break away they will classify the players as employees and thus title IX won’t apply
