looking back at Endgame I think it kind of sucked

they really wasted an opportunity to wrap up most character storylines.
1. Fat Thor was a slap in the face to the audience (haha Thor fat=funny)
2. Thanos sucks. Basically turned into bowser
3. Bruce Bannner killed Hulk
4. Cap and Iron man basically pretend Civil War never happened.
etc.
movie picks up 5 years in the future, and everyone who was brought back appeared where they vanished from.
millions dead undoing the snap, earth continues to rotate, how do we know that theyd even come back on earth or appear in the space just to die again.
The world after 5 years has adjusted to its population, just like it did after the plague/WW2. throwing millions back into the world would put a strain on the economy if they even live. The demand for housing, food, work, would shoot sky high. not everyone would be able to jump back in to life. I see a ton of problems of undoing the snap that the smartest people in the world never even though about
Just a ton of fan service that I will admit I was happy when I finished it the first time. But looking back, the plot just fricking stinks. It does have a few good scenes,
but overall as a movie today I give it a 4/10.

I laughed out loud at the girl power scene. I don't think we thought "Fat Thor" was the end of Thor, though.
Do you have to get into negatives to rate all the MCU films since? I mean, would any of them outside, maybe, GOTG 3 get a rating above 0 if Endgame is 4/10? (Serious question...)

Not going to dive in to all of this one, but don’t you think both Cap and Iron Man would be rationale enough to put Civil War in the back seat after half of the universe disappeared. Especially after both fighting Thanos individually in Infinity War?

All marvel sucks dude
It’s cgi Michael bay style movies made for babies

Do agree though that I got tired of Fat Thor. Made for some comedy but I have trouble watching his scenes when Ive rewatched the movie.

A 4/10 is laughable
and saying Cap and Tony pretend Civil War didn't happen also makes me question how much you actually understand the movie, or if this post is just a troll attempt. It's a huge central point of their relationship throughout the movie.

I don't agree. Fat Thor was done well, especially when his mother told him to eat a salad. Thanos was Thanos, what else did you want from him? Cap and Iron Man got together in the heat of the battles, they knew they needed help.
The Bruce Banner and Hulk thing, yeah I can go for that one. I wish Banner would have just been more controlling of Hulk and it wasn't such a fight back and forth.

IW was really good. Endgame, to me, felt like too much fanservice. Thanos was a huge reason IW was great, but unfortunately he had a much smaller role here that I think hurt the film.

5. Why not just have Captain Marvel show up in the beginning and kick Thanos' arse? Game over man.
6. 100% grim and serious doesn't work for comic book movies.

Felt the same as I watched it. The best fight scenes were replays.
And going back in time is just lazy writing for plot lines.

Depends on the character. Batman, Daredevil, Dredd...those work better being dark.

That would’ve been really powerful. We all know Kathleen kennedy created thanos to be an allegory for trump. That’s why his hands were so small

No

Compared to Infinity War Thanos, yes

Wtf no. Did you watch Infinity War

The opening scenes are showing how the world has crumbled and failed to compensate for the massive loss. You obviously missed the entire movie

Which is why the follow up effects of the snap are still being discussed in the MCU, and were heavily discussed or weighed into the plots of the first few movies and shows following
In conclusion, I rate you as stupid AF and you were probably tripping balls while you watched these movies

I was prepared for Rage hulk to come busting out of the wreckage of the Avengers' Compound.
we see professor Hulk holding it up, but starting to struggle.
instead of Ant-Man becoming Giant-Man, I just knew the big bad bastard hulk was was about to just wreck shite.
and it didn't happen.

I remember walking out of it thinking it wouldn’t age nearly as well as Infinity War. I tend to hate time travel gimmicks.

IW was a masterpiece. You can’t judge EG against it IMO. IW was the Empire Strikes Back of MCU
IW was all about Thanos. He’s the main character. It’s not an Avengers movie at its core.
EG is about the last hurrah of the original Avengers. Putting them all together for one last epic battle to decide the fate of Earth and likely the universe. It’s an Avengers movie at its core. It’s about a group of heroes teaming up and being more than sum of their combined talents alone. Those heroes must combine to defeat a villain greater than the sum of their powers alone.
Unfortunately EG has the core time travel flaws which really take from the movie, and Thanos is significantly reduced in characterization from the triumphant villain who believes he is morally right to a murderous thug with badass power. But the reduced characterization is important to achieve that true Avengers movie. If you don’t reduce his characterization, you end up with the comic book scenario where they don’t kill Thanos but he turns into a hero himself. Which would have pissed off audiences far more. But we were all still giddy with how incredible the characterization of Thanos was in IW that it’s hard to handle the reduced depth in EG

Infinity War is much better.
Endgame is pretty good but its not close to Infinity War.

Yup.
It is a Thanos from a different time in his life but still the character is much better in IW.

Definitely. The EG Thanos does suggest he changes perspective to become just the murderous thug, but still it’s hard to pull back the characterization. Same struggle with Gamora in EG and GOTG3 where there’s the obvious disconnect and it makes the character really unlikeable. I still think it was important for them to decharacterize Thanos in EG to get the classic Avengers movie though. You didn’t want anyone saying “Thanos was right” at the end of EG like they were at the end of IW. You needed the entire audience on the side of the Avengers

Even further, every plot has a climax. We built up Thanos for years. IW was the perfect climax. EG was inevitably going to be falling action and resolution in the long term plot line. It’s a natural come down from the pinnacle of plot line heights
