For some reason, reddit decided that I really like pools and destruction. This gem of a post came up and made me furious at whoever built the pool.

Is there anything we can do to level this out short of ripping up the whole pool? We do not have a good relationship with our PB. I don’t want to ask them about it. Our whole build from start to finish took us 1.5 years, lots of no call no shows and unreliable. It was overall not a great experience.

You hate to see it. Obviously filled his pool with crooked water. Easy fix for this would be to drain completely and refill with level water.

Just one day the builder forgets the laser level and decided to go with it anyway.

Water don't lie.

Could've had a major rain and it floated out of level without anyone noticing.

Then that is still on the builder.

Absolutely. Hope I didn't imply they weren't. Only way homeowner is on the hook is if they emptied the pool and it floated, and the pics don't look like that scenario.

Move that boulder to the high end and that should level that pool out

No problem, just get a big rubber mallet and pound down the high side.

Exactly. The cool deck surrounding the pool would have shown some type of damage if that were the case.

this guy is trying to get 1.2m for this house near us and i dont understand the pool he put in at all.

nobody wants to put lounge chairs in the grass and have to track grass in and out of the pool.

someone smarter than me needs to explain this 'deckless' pool design to me because clearly i'm missing something.

there's not even stepping stones coming from the house.

could always put a slip and slide from the house patio down to the pool to avoid having to track grass into the water...

Shed is the key to the puzzle. If you use it as your reference, the pool is actually level and the water is crooked.

I would lose my mind if that was my pool and immediately contact a lawyer

as someone that has never had to deal with contractors because their Dad was a contractor and now having to deal with a contractor, these types of posts just scare the shite out of me

I wonder at what point the builder noticed and was like "frick, do you think they will notice?"

That pool builder would be filing for bankruptcy if that was my pool.
