This particular team, Al Hilal, averages under 9,000 fans per home match. The most popular team in the league, Al Ittihad, averages less than 40,000.
Saudi Pro League
Just because some Saudi billionaires want to spend money on their hobby for bragging rights, does not mean it is popular.
McNeese State football draws more fans than the majority of the teams in this league.

The absolute scenes of me and the lads shutting down our favorite pub on match day. Wearing our favorite football kits, supporting our favorite football clubs

The Saudis have a plan and a lot of cash to make their league better and in a quick hurry. How did LIV turn out for them?

The Saudis sell oil. That's how they get their money. Why would they need to launder it? And how do you launder money by transparently paying it to a soccer player?

What is there to discuss?

My understanding is that its not 776 million dollars. Its actually in Euros, so that is even more money (if accurate)

We all shoukd have seen this coming after they bought Busta Rhymes 15 years ago

This makes sense. They are throwing unbelievable amounts of money at coaches and players from the Premier League
<------ The club I follow is losing our talisman player, a prolific goalscorer and club legend, to a Saudi club. It's probably going to happen today, although the player is in the US right now. Our coach just turned down a second offer, of 40,ooo,ooo Euro as well.
It's the suddenness of all this that's really harrowing as it upsets the balance of chemistry in teams. We know Ronaldo went after the World Cup, but he is an absolute shadow of himself. But as soon as the season ended, we have these exorbitant offers seemingly coming in blindsidely.

How are the Saudi’s going to handle Mbappe banging dudes?

The fad of the try-hard hipster getting into some team he decided to randomly support seems to have died down a bit the last few years.

That's what has our fans frustrated beyond belief.

Yes, everything is above board with all of this massive spending on sports leagues with the Saudis.
