Wow.

I guess some learned to jive-walk like they had a nail in their foot after getting the toes chopped off.

I can see it.

Roll with that Ron.

The general election narrative that he can beat Biden and Trump can’t, just went out the window.

Ok. Let’s be honest here. Slavery probably wasn’t the best idea. I think we can agree on that.

And That’s a dip shite way of going about explaining a truthful scenario.

But I would love someone to come into this thread and explain to me how blacks in the USA are not better off than blacks in Africa today. There literally has been a black American president… leader of the free world, billionaires, senators, vice president, SC justices, attorneys general…

Not to mention, black slavers made a killing. So there’s that.

Blacks benefited from slavery in the USA

British colonies benefited from being governed by the Crown in contrast to other 3rd world contemporaries.

These are inconvenient truths.

Hit piece from the WaPo this board is officially in the upside down.

quote:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is intensifying his efforts to de-emphasize racism in his state’s public school curriculum by arguing that some Black people benefited from being enslaved and defending his state’s new African American history standards that civil rights leaders and scholars say misrepresents centuries of U.S. reality.

That’s the fricking lead

The life of blacks in America has been so much greater than the life of blacks in Africa the last 100 years.

But politicians must be smart enough to not say such truths.

Benefited doesn't mean net positive outcome.

You don't think learning certain skills is beneficial?

They were helped all around, perhaps against their will. Their quality of life improved considerably in most cases. Doesn’t justify it, more evil is done in present days and swept under the rug. It still seems dumb to talk about. Why not go heavy on present day evils, starting with Epstein and political corruption?

People are being intellectually dishonest on this issue for partisan political reasons and I'm quite frankly tired of it. Slavery was terrible but one can't deny that they learned skills while in bondage that benefited them in the postbellum period. Many of these slaves took their learned skills from the plantations of the Deep South to the prairies of the Old West. Many of the first cowboys were freed blacks.

Quotes from the curriculum are noticeably absent.

It’s wild that this is what Republicans are running with against DeSantis.

DeSantis helps mandate a curriculum that is not chock full of CRT and here’s the Trump crew lapping up the MSM take on it.

Dumb fricks.

You really believe trying to get into an intellectual argument on an emotionally charged issue like this will win voters over to your side?

What’s the pretext of the question asked by the media?

And the headline is dishonest. He does not say Blacks benefited from slavery.

DeSantis leads with rational thought and truth, not with what may be politically expedient. That’s why he took it to Disney. That’s why he bucked Fauci. And that’s why he won re-election by 20 points while Trump was forced into retirement.

By the time it’s over the media will make DeSantis the most dangerous white supremacist in US history.
