My son is looking to have a 17'x 44" semi-v built out of 1/8 aluminum with a welded in floor, going to rig it out with a 50 Tiller. Bare aluminum, he's going to paint it himself.

Some of the names that I know of are.
Devin Parvino
Uncle J
Gator Trax
Gator Tail
Scullys
Hanko's
Mike Kliebert
Long Beach Boats
Prodigy

I thought Prodigy boats were made in Georgia?

You should check out Timber Creek made in Baldwin County, AL. I used to duck hunt with the owner many moons ago

the guy in west wego builds those big oyster boats, crew boats, and other large boats, but they also do small jobs too.

they built the aluminum steps for my house and put a floor and front deck on my john boat. i would not hesitate to use them again.

All of those guys have marketing budgets and employees to maintain. When I had mine built, I went and drove around Pierre Part and talked to several builders. Ended up using Kip Gaspard. he was reasonable and I couldn't be happier with my rig

That's what he's after, and not a 10 month wait.

Thanks to all so far, keep them coming.

There is a fella who live in South MS that post on here from time to time. I'll wait and see if JJ responds to your post.

Also St. Andrew's boat works in Lafayette is a good one.

Same guy from THT that had that bad arse Lafitte Skiff set up to fish the Chandeleur Islands? I'd like to reach out to him.

There’s about 10-15 in Pierre part. Call the hardware store and ask them for their top 5 recommendations or just drive around, they’re all over, lol

That's me, Greenhead is referring to, and had that big skiff on THT.
Not sure what you time line is, I've got one left to build I'm trying to get knocked out and in the process of trying to list my house and shop to build a new place, gonna be shut down for a little while here shortly.

I'll hit you up on the lease, I'd be intrested.
Man, I wish I had time to frog, or do anything for that matter other than work it seems.
About to build a 6.2l LSX powered inboard mudboat for buddy of mine over in Bayou Black. This should be a pretty cool rig.

Just Google or Facebook, Rene Gros Aluminum Boats and Trailers. One of the better in the business. He’s down in Pierre Part/Belle River, a few minutes from Troy Landry’s (Swamp People) place.

He helped a buddy of mine build his first. Rene has the designs and measurements in his head. Great guy to drink beer and talk boats with.
Rene’s number:

985) 518-7751
