Ok, I’ll bite.

If you REALLY want to move to Nola, and you shouldn’t , my best guess would be Covington , Mandeville , Madisonville … at least from what I heard. Need to cross the “White Flight” bridge.

I live in Richmond/Katy (Houston). I grew up in South Louisiana. I got out as fast as I could.

Baton Rouge is great minus the traffic.
Home proximity to work is key.

And it’s actually safe.
From our DA:

90% of murders are drug dealers and gang on gang violence. The other 10% are domestic.
There’s like 4-5 areas where the murders take and it’s all in the ghetto.

The schools still suck but with only one kid you can swing private school easily.

A) Don't do it.

B) I suppose the Northshore is the most equivalent, but it's not right by the airport. I know there are wealthy pockets all over Orleans and Jefferson, but do you want to move into a pocket surrounded by shite?

C) Don't do it.

D) Definitely don't do it.

Oh man. Sounds like you’re in for a real surprise then.

You live in Buckhead and you think you’ve experienced ghetto shite?

We sold a house in Geismar to a family from Alpharetta. I hope they enjoyed last night’s explosion more than we enjoy traffic on the 400.

I’d say just move further north from Atlanta proper.

Appreciate the genuine response.

those are good spots but ideally would want to be within 1 hr of an Intl Airport.

I also think the N Ga mtns are kind of mid- I’d probably go Cashiers/Highlands but I’d probably miss the lack of big city amenities. Boone/ Banner Elk maybe.

Also lived in Georgia for a good portion of my life and looking to mix it up.

Louisiana also closer to the Rockies, where I spend alot of time.

I think you’d enjoy Lafayette more than BR. Forget about NO.

The only real International airport in LA is in NO if you want nonstop flights. BR and Lafayette flights mostly connect to Houston or Dallas.

Are you drunk?
If you fly to Rockies I’m sure the flight from La won’t make a difference from most places in nearby states

Also, now that we are on the subject. Is Florida/Carolinas the only states in the south that have large cities that aren’t infested with crime and ghettos? Texas would be considered too if it was actually in the south.

Memphis makes Baton Rouge look like child’s play and isn’t Nashville now having major crime issues?
