I am in Plaquemine. Evidently it came from Dow, but it hasn't been confirmed. My mom lives relatively close to Dow so I called her, she said it was loud, it sounded like it came from Dow..

Now the signals are going off.

U-Club here, definitely felt it, shook the whole house. Back yard faces Dow and can see the sky lit up

Ok, I live in Oak Hills and I think I heard it. I thought the kids dropped something but it seemed to come from outside.

I have no knowledge of that plant or if it’s the unit on fire, but glycol is usually produced using ethylene oxide. Vapor is heavier than air so it will collect in containment berms and find an ignition source. Highly flammable and doesn’t need oxygen to burn.
