Would they also storm the red roof in and knock on doors without calling the police?
Have they been drinking?
Beer or spirits?

So, let's say this was yall's child in this exact situation, what would you do? I think it's fair to say everyone would act as her parents did at the onset, even if you thought some of the details didn't add up, you're not going to have relief until you've laid eyes on your child. But how would you handle it once they returned home and the facts start adding up against your child, how would you handle it at this point?
It’s hard to say. I’d like to think I’d handle it as you described, but it’s hard when she’s 25. She’s an adult. I’d feel compelled to issue my own apology statement since the parents were visible in this case, but you can’t really force the 25 year old to do anything. I’d lose a lot of respect for her if she didn’t handle it with humility.

What really sucks is that we have 2 firefighters here who were shot at a fire station 5 days ago (one died today), with the shooter still on the loose, and it has gotten next to no attention due to this dumbass woman.

I would tell the police anything I knew about what happened and tell them they had my support. Part of her safety is not continuing this lie which is only going to cause more harm to her.
I would give my kid all the comfort she needs and bring in resources to help her psychological and emotional state.
And I wouldn’t say one goddamn thing to the media, social media, or anyone else outside of those directly involved in the situation.

Oh, they're doing the right thing. In today's world, adults go to social media and battle it out with strangers, whether they are right, wrong, or indifferent.
The only thing they should also do is, instead of just making these occasional statements, denigrating everybody who searched and prayed for their little ditchpig, they should then stay and argue with all of the individuals calling her a liar and crook.
Wait, we are saying what they should do for our entertainment, right?

The night Russell disappeared, the police department said she went to Target on Highway 280 after leaving her job and purchased some snack food type items.

Police said these items were not located inside her abandoned vehicle or with her cell phone and wig at the scene of her disappearance on I-459 in Hoover.

Cheez-its, perhaps? HPD said those newly-purchased snacks were not in her vehicle.

She bought Taziki’s and snacks at Target and took them with her
This all shows intent, which means the mental health cop-out is going to be a much tougher escape route.

I'd love for the family to explain this one.

I think the wig is a big one, too. I can totally see that as an act to try to make herself less recognizable.
